  1. Some of us grandads remember games in the olden days when everybody played in black and white and there were crowds of 56,000 crammed into places like White Hart Lane. The atmosphere hasn't been the same since we went all-seater.
  2. These 3 are all good players, it's just that they're playing in a shît team.
  3. I thought the same. I got the papers this morning and went searching to a game to watch. Nothing, nada, nichts, niente... I might even have to talk to my wife
  4. Doesn't exactly represent the spirit of the FA Cup though, does it?
  5. Yes, I've noticed that too. If he could turn with the ball and drive forward he'd be even better.

    Mane

Yes indeed, Mané's chance was well spotted and well taken. It's just that there are plenty of goals up there with it in terms of being special.

    Mane

Theo Walcott's lob was quite special too.
  8. No chance of that. We'll be on 40 points by the end of January
  9. Some of them have a water container for the condensed water which need emptying after use. Some need a drain as Fowllyd has said. Your manual ought to tell you what to do.
  10. This is a very common complaint among the lower levels of football. The youngsters see the Rooneys of this world mouthing off on TV and think they can do the same.
  11. I had a customer ask me this very question a couple of years ago. After much searching I gave him a list but he ended up at Harry Ramsdens in West Quay. http://www.harryramsdens.co.uk/england/southampton/
  12. Better than an 'indecent big one'.
  13. I used to play locally on Sunday mornings and when I became way too old I decided to become a referee and give something back to the game. It can be very rewarding and you get the best view of the game from the middle of the park. Most players were no trouble at all but you did get the odd big mouths. The worst game I had was one at Hamble which involved a few ex-professionals. Some of them thought it clever to try every sneaky little trick that they had learned through their career. It is supposed to be a 'sport', not win at all costs.
  14. That would have been the assistant's call. He must have seen it, and if he didn't he should never run a game at this level again.
  15. We didn't commit these fouls, the opposition cheated them out of the referee. Keep up John Boy, you'd never make a top Premier League manger
  16. A great player in his heyday. My only concern is that Liverpool will be a better side without him.
  17. The trips I've been on have always had a stop on the way, but that was a few years ago. Normally there are two drivers.
  18. Anyone wanting to play in the FA Cup on Sunday would need to have been registered by 12:00 today.
  19. I agree. He's new to this league and it must be a great big exciting adventure for him. Once he settles in he'll be very good.
  20. Most impatient poster?
  21. Done.. This is something in which I believe passionately.

    Mane

That really is sad. I see that you have been selective in your quotes. I stand by everything I wrote, including the bits you left out.
  23. Too many replays these days.
  24. MOTM according to the Mail. They gave him 8.0
  25. He does seem to snatch at chances, perhaps he'll learn to be more calm and deliberate.
