    Possession

Agree we can become a bit predictable. Problem is we're not good enough defensively to soak up pressure and hit on the break. If we played this way I think it could turn out a nightmare. Due to our defensive frailties possession is the best kind of defense, we just need to pass a bit more quickly and need the option of the ball over the top on to pace if Plan A is up **** creek - which is what Mayuka was supposedly bought for
  2. Indeed, ridiculous comment, if anything he is deadly accurate.

Churchill - “All men make mistakes, but only wise men learn from their mistakes.” Don't think there is much hope...
  4. Noticed today that Lallana's Cruyff turn was being read every time. Time for him to get his world cup through the ages videos back out and maybe adopt anther move from yesteryear
  5. Spot on, as in nearly always wrong? Sorry to say but we are due a downer. Saints 0 Everton 4 and Saints crashing down to reality. Local game for me, I can't see us getting anything from this game. Norwich 2 Saints 0 I can see us winning this one, a hard game but Saints 2 QPR 0 I think we will struggle against the Geordies. Newcastle 2-0 Saints. Back in the mire. Man City -Not expecting much from this game. If we can keep our losing margin down to 4 goals, we will have done well. Wigan - Sorry, but I think we are going to get smacked in the head today. A shambolic 3-0 defeat for the Saints sees us spinning into the bottom 3 We will be lucky to get any thing from this match, in fact I think we will be taught a lesson Manure 7 - Saints 1 Two results correct out of seven is pretty impressive and he was even closer with the scores.
  6. It's why I hardly post mate - you're ignored unless you're views are polarised to the extremes
  7. They can do what they want, and they will, and I can be irritated by it if I want. I think some comments are intentionally made to get a reaction, which I really don't get - seems quite childish to me, oh well.
  8. It will indeed. He's terrorised defences all season, so won't be any different for us. Best hope is probably to try and goad him to show the ill-discipline that blights his game.
  9. Lacked cutting edge in front of goal again. It's worrying - but I'd be more concerned if we weren't creating chances. Any clean sheet away from home in the prem is a good one in my book. Oh and there is a lot of hysteria on this thread, from the usual suspects, swear they can't really enjoy football. Bet they're the kind of people who write to their MP when they've have to queue for the post office.
  10. You don't actually like Saints do you mate? I rarely post but always notice you predict a loss, and slag of the team/management most of the time.
  11. I've corrected it for you.

  14. What do you suggest? SHould we have insisted on the Norwegian league being extended for our signing. You are an utter pillock.
  15. Shouldn't bite should we!? - he is the poorest WUM on the whole forum
  16. You don't know that yet. He may have made a massive **** up or it could be an inspired decision.
  17. Well we don't, so you can stop being very concerned. http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2004-2005/table/2005-02-02

Looking through the next 5 fixtures it has calmed me somewhat, the majority of our rivals have hard games and/or are playing each other, plus I feel QPR (H), Norwich (A) are winnable games, and we could pick up a point or two in the other three games. Thoughts?
  20. Alan Nixon ‏@reluctantnicko Bolton winger target plays in Prem. Your boss has wrongfooted rivals on this one. So let him see it through. Good option to have. http://www.burndenaces.co.uk/2013/01/31/bolton-loan-southampton-winger.html Basically, there isn't one.
  21. De Ridder to Bolton on loan apparently
  22. We have not been especially active (althogh happy we got a CB). In term of buying I always see January as a risk, and don't want us paying over the odds for someone who won't add to what we have got. I think we will stay up with our squad, then need to kick on with some good quality additions in the Summer (but not too many - 2 or 3) if we're to realise the stated ambitions.
  23. Twitter is broken, can't deal with QPR
  24. Pardon?
