    He was frustrating as fck.
  3. The thing was tonight Rickie was coming deep from the position of the lone striker, subsequently giving the CB's a decision to make as they don't know whether to follow him deep and leave space behind or keep their defensive line. It worked well today as their were pacey players coming from deep that could then be picked out. Unfortunately we don't have those pacey players (maybe besides J-Rod?) so when Rickie retreats deep he doesn't have that option and usually has to play it backwards, and IMO this leads to our (sometimes) pedestrian looking attacks and this isn't a criticism of Lambert by the way. I'm not sure of Osvaldo's speed, could he be a runner from behind or coming in from the wings?

  7. Me too. What was this about then...
  8. Except you're basing it on pessimism and Morrisey songs
  9. And you're doing the same...
  10. No point discussing it really then is there.
  11. I don't have the inclination to add how much we've spent. Forren/Mayuka - Pretty much disasters. J-Rod - Like him and will be a good player IMO. Over priced, but we've had to pay the premium for young English talent. Ramirez - It looked like a good signing on paper (I believe at the time most people were existed by the prospect and surprised we signed him), but it hasn't worked out (so far). A very frustrating player. Yoshida - I like him too, nothing amazinf but a good solid centre half. This window to sign 3 international players is excellent, but obviously the proof will be in the pudding. So in conclusion, we've been a bit hit and miss, but you're talking like we're clueless. We're not perfect, but I don't think we're that different from a lot of clubs.
  12. You're right it's all a ****ing disaster. They have no idea what they are doing. I mean unlike any other club in the world we've signed some flops.
  13. Saw your name as the last post and guessed the content. I was spot on.
  14. Goals finally on SSN now!
  15. Double...
  16. Just want to keep all us mugs tuned in.
  17. Not quite the illustrious career that the others had http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_Cooke
  18. Definite decision point for Poch is what he does with the 4 attacking positions. Don't think you can have Lallana and Ramirez playing together, especially away from home.
  19. Giggs, Butt, Beckham, the Nevilles and Scholes - Who's the kid far right?
  20. SSN are irritating me - I've seen the Place goals 3 times now... Apparently it's glaringly obvious to Holloway that they haven't got the wide men they had last season.
  21. Weird to resent someone who got us successive promotions. Even if you don't really rate him, you'd think he did what was required.
  22. Merrington seemed impressed by him. Called him a mans man (i.e. a proper no fuss defender).
  23. Informative stuff Bazzer....
