He is one desperate man TBH. Saying anything that will put him in the good books of the very simple, autograph hunting, blue fewer and fewer!

I was thinking a similar thing and maybe the football authorities should be looking to include players PAYE and VAT on tickets and transfer dealings, in the footballing debt, which would mean for at least that part of the tax liability the club would be obliged to pay 100%.

FFS it's 3 years! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1725046,00.html http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1200299/Alan-Pardew-appointed-Southampton-boss.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8155056.stm

Maybe, in the words of Jarvis C_ocker, she wants to sleep with Common people?

This was asked at the time in this thread: http://saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=14989&highlight=pardew+named+manager Very interesting some of the comments on there!

Signed a 3 year deal last July.

Solent Twitter feed: solentsport #Saintsfc boss Alan Pardew tells BBC Solent he's committed to seeing out his contract at the club, after reports linking him to West Ham.

Well Durham have made a similar start to ours, passing 100 without losing a wicket. I bet they don't waste it like we did yesterday. When is Corky back and when is Jones likely to be fit? Like our middle order, without Lumb and Dimi, our bowling attack seems to lack penetration (yet again).

Bloody Flahavan! Call himself a Saints fan?!!

Pretty safe bet seeing their is no way that Platini would have ratified their entry in any case.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/8636565.stm Melbourne have also been ordered to repay the £50,000 prize money for winning the World Club Challenge, funds which could be diverted to beaten finalists Leeds. Leeds chief executive Gary Hetherington said the matter was for governing body, the Rugby Football League (RFL), to take up. But he said Leeds had no desire to claim the world title following Melbourne's sanctions

Confirmed as new Brizzle City manager this morning. Press Conference on SSN now!

Presumably paying off the penny owed to Proton or the 20p to Qatar would equal paying 100% of their debt and therefore they would have to treat all the other creditors equally and pay off 100% of all unsecured debt?
-
But the parachute payments pay the footballing debts and/or go straight into Chanrai's back pocket. Whoever is buying the club (if there is anyone THAT stupid) had better not bank on getting their hands on that money.

I wonder is the figures on the 'sales pitch brochure' are the same as in this document? AA has already stated that FP has 2 different valuations. As others have noted our friend the Android has previous when it comes to "creative accountancy."

Other countries take cheating in the sports arena very seriously, take Juventus (probably Italy's biggest team) relegation two divisions. We seem to just pussy-foot abound, talk about sanctions and sweep it all under the carpet. It is time that the FA started to impose similar sanctions here and thi isn't an anti-P*mpey thing. This is to preserve the integrity of the competition. I was personally amazed the amount of support Collymore got last night from people from Blackpool (for example) for his proposal of expulsion.

Posted by Kingsbridge Saint on the P*mpey Takeover Thread. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12196_6108354,00.html I wonder if they'll now get stripped of the World Club Challenge because technically they weren't qualified to participate?

Don't see why anyone thinks we shouldn't be promoted next season. We may lose one or two players, that's life! But we'll replace them with adequate others. We're only 13 points off the automatic promotion places now, despite starting on -10 and not winning a game for the first 2 months.
-
I'll be amazed if they come out the other end after this.
-
Thought you meant the Hull City player of the same name at first. Knew we were desperate but surely not that desperate. Saw Ainscough play for Cas at the KC earlier in the season. He was class TBH!
-
How do they intend to fund the season if they're still in Administration, with their parachute payments hived off by the FL to pay the football debt? Seems AA is struggling to get them to the end of this season and only because Chanrai has funded it.

>>"The Southampton Spitfires Rugby League Football Club was founded in the summer of 2007 by Yorkshireman Glenn Tyreman and a group of Rugby League enthusiasts based in Glenn's adopted home of Southampton. Glenn is a vastly experienced Rugby League coach and is part of the England Lionhearts and South of England amateur coaching team, as well as undertaking occasional work with Super League outfit Harlequins R.L." Apparently Glenn is an HKR (Booo!) fan and works/worked for the Southampton office of HKR's previous sponsor Parasol, hence the tie up with HKR on the website. They made the divisional final last year losing out to Greenwich, who have supplied several young players for Harlequins in the recent past. More about the Spitfires! http://www.southampton-spitfires.co.uk/Scrapbook/2009/2009_Press.pdf

Steve McNamara confirmed as the new England Coach with Australian Brian Smith (Tony's brother) as his mentor/assistant. Special Boots 'n' All on at the moment with SM as the main guest. Talks the talk and has really focussed ideas of where he wants to take England RL by 2013 world cup and beyond.

I think I heard that the players and staff leave their cars there when flying to games and Radio Cabs ferry them from the Concorde to the Airport and back. Whether that's got anything to do with it? :smt102

Middle order collapse AGAIN! Without Lumb we look very vulnerable.
