  1. I though Punch had a good game tbh. Some of the things he tried didn't come off and some of his passes went astray but his work-rate was phenomenal. He was nearly always on the ball, must have touched it and been in possession of it at least twice as much as the next player on the park. Always an outlet and always a danger.
  2. West_wood getting closer though, 2nd after a couple of 3rd finishes in majors. He just needs to look as Mickleson (and Harrington, for that matter) as a role model. For ages he was the nearly man and looked like he was going to have a career like Monty (best player to never win a major) but once the first comes, others will follow.
  3. She used to be a DJ/presenter on Power FM and both her and James Haddock (also a Saints fan) left to join Sky Sports. James is still there and covers everything from golf to the Superbowl.
  4. Don't think so! Many FL Chairmen and Managers up in arms about it already. Will make a mockery of their competition because basically, no team coming down from the Prem will be able to compete.
  5. Yes, covered by Rachel Brookes who is a Saints fan and big, big Hampshire cricket fan.
  6. I think there are several teams that appear on different regions because they are on the cross-over zone. Cheltenham with the Midlands. Wycombe and Brighton with the London and SE etc. BBC South have always covered Brighton as a local team though.
  7. One of them (IMO) was definite handball but then again that ref didn't have a clue about the handball rule or any of the others, for that matter, either.
  8. Would have been a sight to see, the Floaty travelling at 'Northam' speed!
  9. I think you'll find they had a great deal more success than finding a buyer and coming out of Administration than you lot. I'm sure JD will be picking over the the legalities as we speak.
  10. Not when it's been a completely new manufacturer because the contract with the old one would still be in place. As Phil says above, unless the contract with Canterbury had been bought out (with what?), they would be mighty p!ssed that the team you were paying to wear your kit, turned up wearing a competitor's.
  11. Brighton were included. A quote from Gus Poyet about being fed-up at playing well but not winning. Includes all the FL teams covered by the Southampton, Oxford, Bristol and Plymouth BBC studios, from Exeter in the west to Brighton in the east to Cheltenham and Wycombe in the north.
  12. I think he potentially could become a good player but I think at the moment Jaidi's extra muscle, ability in the air and experience, makes him an automatic choice if/when fit.
  13. Was listening to the Leeds/Hull game on the radio and with the team they had out was expecting Hull to get a right drubbing but 46-30 and scoring 6 tries isn't too bad tbh. Next week is the return fixture in the Challenge cup (got my ticket) and hopefully with Fitzgibbon, Horne, Tickle and maybe even Longy back it should be a much closer game. Apparently Berrighan has a suspected broken collar bone, so maybe not as close as I had hoped.
  14. Thought Seaborne was the weakest player yesterday TBH and Fonte had to get him out of trouble on numerous occasions. Jaidi is much more solid and a better partner to Fonte IMO.
  15. From the OS: "Our entire allocation of just under 2,000 tickets has been snapped up for the trip to Huish Park. There will be no sales on the day for any part of the ground." http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~2018560,00.html
  16. England still has the same amount of Europa League slots as before (presumably +1 if Liverpool or Fulham win it). One should go to the winners of the FA Cup but if the winners have already qualified, the FA hand it to the runners-up (but that is at their discretion). In this instance (and in most instances outside this country) they will hand it to the 7th placed team.
  17. They had over 7,000 supporters there. The population of Dingwall is only 5.5k.
  18. The announcement at the game was there were fewer than 500 left but a lot of people were buying after the match.

  20. Borussia Park.
  21. A good job Jimmy Adams can bat (168 no). It's a pretty sorry scorecard apart from him with extras our second highest scorer. 329-8.
  22. The Steven Gerrard rip-off!
  23. Good game, good win, good atmosphere and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon made even better when the West Ham result was announced. Edit: The only thing that ruined it was the absolute joke of a Ref, who just didn't seemed to know what was going on!
  24. There is something very wrong and demeaning about that photo.
