  1. Won't this encourage people actually at the match to post on the matchday threads? Surely we don't want that? It will distort the views of those who know better by following Merry Merrington and Soccer Saturday. No good at all!
  2. Back to the subject of the thread, did anybody take any photos of Silverspoons? I would have thought that photographic evidence of what people are complaining about, would add wait to their arguments.
  3. Watching that I don't think Papa was more than a couple of feet from the trophy at any time. I'm sure he thought Kelvin was going to drop it at the presentation and then just took ownership of it.
  4. Probably cost Blackburn the whole £4Million in the summer? What I don't get is why the Skates get compensation on the loan fee, when this is all done to help them out.
  5. Theo's made a massive difference!
  6. From the FL Website: SPOT ON Southampton and Norwich City shared four goals during ninety minutes before having to settle their tie on penalties. Ndiaye Papa Waigo broke the deadlock for the Saints after 14 minutes but the Canaries levelled through Gary Doherty. Chris Martin, who netted for Luton Town in last year's final, then put Norwich in the lead ten minutes into the second period and the goal looked set to take Paul Lambert's side through until Dan Harding popped up in the third minute of injury time to put the Saints on equal terms and take the game to penalties. With little to choose between the sides during normal time, it was no surprise the sides equally traded penalties before Bartosz Bialkowski kept out Cody McDonald's sudden death spot kick, leaving substitute Wayne Thomas the responsibility to step up and seal the tie for the Saints, which he duly did and they won through 6-5 on penalties.
  7. Never saw them, first nor last! Only know what you are talking about is because they were on the highlights and on the photo thread.
  8. Harding was credited it in just about every match report, despite being nowhere near the ball when it went in. It was definitely Papa that put it in and I'm glad Sunday's match programme had it correct, even if the report on the FL website (last time I looked) still reported it as Harding's goal.
  9. I hate you!!
  10. And is doing so again in a fortnight.
  11. How do you know they weren't Chapel Standers?
  12. Don't worry! I'll be back for the Charlton game. Just for the day out and to watch the opposition, you understand?!!
  13. Good shout really. 5 goals and 2 shoot-out penalties.
  14. Yes, and P*mpey got relegated!
  15. If they lose and either West Ham or Hull City win, they are relegated. More likely to go another week IMO.
  16. Sprained ankle out for 2 to 4 weeks.
  17. Great news IMO. His form in the IPL has probably clinched it for him.
  18. I was in there and thought it was pretty naff TBH. We were singing where we were (a pocket of maybe 40 or so) and you could see similar pockets dotted around but couldn't hear any of them because of the crap acoustics, therefore everybody was singing their own songs. When the "COYR's" rang around a couple of times and the "Stand up if you......" it was pretty good and at the end with "The Saints are Coming" it was awesome.
  19. But what's wrong with that?
  20. It is! Their Directors box has been like an illicit den of dodgy characters for so many years. The boardroom must be like one of those secret rooms above East End London pubs.
  21. Even stretching this thread to fracture point, I'm not having Lancashire in the England team! Sorry but no!!!
  22. So you'd rather us sell 19,000 tickets then? There may have been a lot of part-time fans (or plastics if you like). But it was a brilliant day, a brilliant sight and shows the potential support of our club.
