    share price

Just a thought! May be he/she did and have been off loading small tranches of a much larger shareholding over a period of time, as not to raise suspicion? :smt102 :smt102 :smt102
  2. That wasn't sizeist. It was stating a fact!
  3. I think Rupert would be happy if this was SLH's core business. On its own it probably turns a profit.
  4. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11412 Anyone know whether this made the club any money or was it just a prestige thing?
  5. If that happens, all of a sudden it all looks much tighter. I can't see Charlton making up a 10/11 point gap in the 12 or so games left, so they have all but gone. However, any of the rest could take the remaining 2 relegation places.
  6. Lol. That's exactly what I was thinking!
  7. Yes he said April then realised what he had said and quickly changed it to May.
  8. I'm not changing direction at all. Arizona said you had a valid point in that it was open to abuse. Ok maybe it is but there are ways of ensuring that no such abuse takes place.
  9. There is such a thing as proof of address: I.e. you would have to bring utility bills, driving license and other proof of identities. In any case, most of us are already on the club's database.
  10. Holy sh!t. Do you always see the bad in everyone? Or are you just judging them by your own standards? I drive a 190 mile round trip on some occasions and a 420 mile round trip on others, to see games at St Mary's. That's a bloody lot of petrol money, before you even think about match ticket etc., etc., etc., I have probably been to 10 home games this season and Saturday was the first game I've seen us win (at home) since Bristol City last season. There is no way at the moment, I can justify the cost of a ST but if they were to offer cheappies for out of area fans, I would consider it.
  11. A bit unfair. I thought he looked like he was getting back to his best on Saturday and was bloody unlucky not to score with the header, t'was truly a magnificent save by Lonaghan.
  12. It's a tough one. I know what you mean and usually I would say it was a no brainer but Gillett was one of our best players on Saturday and would be really unlucky to be dropped after that performance.
  13. Exactly and when needed he just put his foot through the ball to clear his lines. Did they ever fish that ball out of the Itchen BTW?
  14. Sorry, I disagree with both of those points. I thought KD had a very mixed game and TBH he didn't have much to do. His kicking was once again abysmal and I thought he was at fault for the goal with his Superman impression that only managed to recycle the ball into the danger zone. Thought he was our worse player Saturday. As for creating loads of chances, not in the games I've seen. We have had plenty of the ball, made plenty of passes between the two penalty boxes but as for chances, no not nearly enough and that is one of the main reasons people get on DMcG's back. He doesn't statistically miss any more than anyone else but when our chances are so few and far between, he has to score and 1 in 5 or whatever, isn't good enough.

  16. I'll give Wotte credit for picking a team to win the game, choosing the tactics to win the game and err, winning the game. Well done! However, he has got a long way to go to win me over. To me there is nothing likeable about the man, he has an attitude and an arrogance that automatically antagonises people. Even in his post match interview there was no humility, saying that he left Wotton out and picked Gillett and was 'proved to be right'. I wonder if next week it goes pear-shaped, he'll admit he c*cked up? I very much doubt it.
  17. I suspect they spend a fair bit in advertising (around the ground, on the big screen and in the programme) and have certain sponsorships; i.e. Player of the League etc.
  18. Not forgetting Shipps, especially towards the end of his career.
  19. Could have sworn that when the 4th official was putting out the water and Lucozade at the side of the pitch, he also placed the odd steak & kidney, just for Parkin.
  20. I'm no DMcG fan but I thought he was excellent in an attacking midfield role (seemed to have the weight of carrying the front line, lifted from his shoulders). I thought all had decent performances yesterday, with special mention to the front 2, Gillett and James (both of whom, are usually average at best). That said, I still think the best player on the park was Preston's Paul Mckenna, who was absolutely everywhere and who's positional sence was outstanding. The rest of their team, certainly in the first half were pants.
  21. It's actually my opinion that there are several local business men waiting in the wings to do the job but they are not prepared to buy the Lowe axis, or Wilde's shares because the money goes staight into their pockets and not into the club. That is why I personally think that administration is our best option.
  22. The club could head-hunt just about anyone if they had the money. However, in the current climate it would have to be either a CEO who is doing well at a lower league standard, one currently out of work, someone looking to invest and become owner/chairman (ahem!), or may be someone from another sport. In an ideal world, someone like Adam Pearson or Rod Bransgrove. The guy at MK Dons would be good, if he could be persuaded he's taken them as far as he can and he could potentially have a Prem Club if he came here.
  23. Funny that because I too, am no longer bothering going to the game and seriously considering joining the march.
  24. You could get Webster and Hockaday round to give you a hand. I hear they are getting pretty useful in the garden.
