You may all scoff and exaggerate, but we did not sign players for the positions we identified, and signed 2 strikers where we didn't really need strengthening. We needed players in those positions and now we're being punished for it.

Sorry, but what? We could have conceded 10 if Arsenal hadn't taken their foot off the gas in the second half. Stoke and Sunderland both conceded 0 against Arsenal. Sorry if I see this as an issue.

Not surprised with that defence. -
Just defending myself against someone saying this is hindsight. No need to be so hostile is there?
-
I identified issues well before the season started. Definitely not hindsight.
-
For A and C, have you read the last couple of pages? B, I disagree, confidence will wane after a poor start.
-
It must be that, but people really do make out they're well informed. Guess I should just not take any notice as they blatantly aren't.
-
I don't understand: A) Why people suddenly aren't worried. B) Why people believe our defence will get better with time. C) Why people are surprised that Ramirez is good.

Buttner scored a worldy...
-
...for the way we did business during the transfer? Who identifies the positions to strengthen? Who identifies the players? Who identifies the timeframe? There needs to be an inquiry into this as clearly there are issues with steps in the process.

Should have been at City but people weren't worried then.
-
Those who said not to worry when we didn't sign defenders before the season started, you're a bunch of ****ing idiots.
-
Excellent. Could be quite a few more today.
-
Brilliant. Glad we got those defenders in.

Agreed. I think Guly may be treading a very fine line at the moment.
-
Strongest lineup, think most fans would agree.

May be true with the people you know I suppose, thats all you can judge it on. Personally I love it, very exciting, skillful and pretty brutal at times.

It was the same at the US Open tennis as well. Would never quieten down.

Or people who just enjoy it as a sport? Don't think it has anything to do with nationality or wanting to be something they're not.

Why do you want iPhone? They're for technologically impaired sheep, Apple fanboys and women.

Basketball is boring as sin.

What sports other than soccerball are you into?

Massively into the NFL, golf, cricket and F1. Also very much enjoy Rugby Union amd the NHL. Have to say the only other sport I watch to rival football is American Football for me. -
Who here said we hadn't spent enough? Very lazy post. People said we hadn't spent on quality, or in the correct areas. This still stands. I believe that we could have spent £33m in a far better way.

Del Horno is an awful player. Grosso was excellent, 6 years ago, but was and has always been VERY suspect defensively. Always needed covering as was very poor positionally. Great left peg though. Not worth bringing in an older, slower version of Fox in my opinion.

And I never said he was a perfect player. I was questioning the wisdom of someone who has unlikely seen him more than 20 times, in a non club situation. You think he should be a Ramirez expert because the guy covers South American football. I disagree as I am sure he has spent more time covering players like Lulinha at that time (people thought.he was going to be the next Kaka. Ramirez wasn't a big player in SA at that time, part of the reason he went to Bologna and not a big side. The article written by Vickery, and his subsequent comments on Talksport never mentioned his Bologna career. It just smacks of lazy journalism to me. However, I never disagreed that he did know more than me. I disagreed that he knew more than the equivalent Italian journalist. It's fine though, obviously you have a thing for TV. Oh and by the way, he was certainly not 'off the pace' the other day for Uruguay, he was their best player.
