I mean, he did win Celebrity Mastermind tonight, so it's not that far fetched! 😉

I think most people didn't want you believe what you were saying about him at the time and hoped it was just excessive hyperbole, hence the pushback you got. However, I sincerely believe you are owed a humble apology by a good many posters because everything you said has been vindicated. The guy is a clueless, arrogant prick with no fucking idea what he is doing, and I don't think I can even bring myself to watch any more games while he's still in charge. It's too depressing.

Can't wait to hear NJ tell us afterwards how we we're still competitive, hard to beat and were the better team in the second half, or some other deluded bollocks. I actually despise the guy. He's a fraud who should be nowhere fucking near our club. I think I actually dislike him more than Saggy chops, and I never thought it would be possible to ever be so opposed to another Saints manager as I was with him.

Deary me. Been out with the fam and not following. Quickly look on Bet365 and see 3-0 to Brentford and zero shots on target from Saints. We're so fucked aren't we.

Shell are without doubt one of the very worst, most unethical companies in the entire world. So I am not the slightest bit surprised by this news. I can't wait to hear Rishi come out and tell us that windfall taxes are a bad idea because they inevitably lead to firms divesting from their UK operations, or something.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Edit: wrong thread -
The difference being that Orsic and Alcaraz were signed for decent (ish) fees and expected to be an upgrade on what we already have and improve our starting 11. Bree was signed for £750k, and purely as backup while Tino recovers. As such he should only really be used in the case of injuries to other FBs, so the decision to start him despite both KWP and Perraud being fit was curious to say the least. Doesn't send a good message to the rest of the squad does it.

Southampton(1) 1-2 (3)Newcastle - League Cup Semi Final - Second Leg

Yet for all his good work, he gave the ball away extremely cheaply with an under-hit pass in the lead up to their first goal. It's something he does an awful lot. If he could just practice getting his weight of pass right and improve it, he would instantly become a much better player. -
He certainly wasn't like that on the pitch. Ask John Fashanu! 🤣

How much of a chance are you willing to give him before you acknowledge that he's not up to it though? I was very much with you when he was appointed. There was a lot of vitriol aimed in his direction even before we had played our first game under his charge, and I found that very distasteful. I was all for giving him the opportunity to prove himself first. But I'm not seeing any signs of improvement because he seemingly hasn't learned anything from the massive fuck ups he has already made and he keeps on making them, time and time again. I just don't see that he is ever going to succeed here. There has been nothing on the pitch or in his interviews that gives me the slightest hope that he is learning and improving. Quite simply, he's out of his depth at PL level. People made the Liz Truss comparison, except the Tories (of all people) soon recognised the huge damage she was going to cause and moved swiftly to remove and replace her. If we don't do the same he will take us down, and I don't see how he is ever going to win the support of the fanbase.

They have spent big. And what they need to do now is spend a little bit more to pay off the hopeless clown of a manager they hired and replace him with someone who has even a modicum of tactical nous and can get the new recruits playing as a cohesive team capable of getting the results we need to stay up.

Southampton(1) 1-2 (3)Newcastle - League Cup Semi Final - Second Leg

And our goal came from a Newcastle defender inexplicably passing the ball straight to Adams in space. Giving the ball away isn't exclusively a Saints thing. -
Newcastle were always favourites to go through but we could have given them a better game of it if we hadn't started with the lineup and formation that we did. Was like starting the game with the players' bootlaces tied together FFS. Enough now. This is all on you Nathan. You are out of your depth and taking us down to the Championship. SR - please have the cojones to admit you've made a mistake and the Jones experiment was a failure. Stick with him and it will only end one way.

Well if you ignore the first 20 minutes where we chucked it away with a suicidal formation, we've won the game on the night. -

It's high time the rules around concussion were changed. If a player goes down supposedly with a head injury then they should be taken off the pitch instantly for assessment. That would immediately stop players from using it to waste time. -

Fucking hell Che. Moan at Edozie for not playing it to you but you didn't even try and run in to get on the end of anything. -

Right that's at least an extra 5 mins to add on top of what there would have been anyway. -

The fact he left his foot on Edozie's ankle as long as he possibly could shows me the cunt actually meant it. -

McCoist banging on about the ball hitting Salisu's shoulder but ignoring the fact that his arm was only where it was because he was trying to steady himself after being pushed, so wouldn't have been a penalty anyway. -

Pope did well to come out and block that off. Just needed a bit more lift over his trailing leg and it was a goal but credit to the keeper. Those are the kind of chances that some strikers occasionally put away but ours never do. -

It really was. He grabbed him with both hands and pulled him down.
