The biggest weakness is at CM. That's where we are consistently surrendering any control of matches and failing to turn defence into attack.

We might have done, but then again, Palace might have scored more than once with better finishing too. All ifs, buts and maybes. Even if Adams had buried just one of his chances, it still wouldn't have excused how utterly gash our first half performance was. You cannot play that badly for an entire half and expect to rely on a clinical striker to get you out of trouble and take some points. Not in the PL anyway.

Dear Ralph, Ibrahima Diallo is not, never has been, and never will be a competent DM. Please don't ever, ever play him there again. You would genuinely be better off starting with only ten men.

Believe me, the first half was utterly horrific. Couldn't string 3-4 passes together, constantly gave it away in dangerous areas and basically couldn't get out of our own half.

Well there it is. Yet another 1-0 win gifted to a poor team. This one is all on Ralph. I can see what he was thinking in the first half, but for love of fucking God man - pleeeeeeease will you stop persisting with this failed experiment of Diallo at DM. How could you not see it wasn't working and should have been changed sooner?

He's doing alright though, whatever actual position you want to call it.

AMN looking sooooooo much better than Diallo so far. Actually getting his foot in and stopping Palace from attacking, something of which Diallo is utterly incapable.

Or at least in that position. He does have some useful qualitites, and is a decent ball carrier as we saw late on last week against Arsenal, but he's hopeless in the DM position. The fact that Ralph keeps persisting with it though - that's just baffling.

So may poor individual performances out there today it's hard to single out any one player. But if I had to - it would be Diallo. He is not, and never will be e DM. He's so lightweight and weak, and his passing is dodgy at the best of times, but fucking terrible today. It's all very well blaming Ralph for the tactical set up, but I don't think there is much he could have done/could still do today to improve things if the players are going to perform that badly.

So with KWP and Tino both injured, who would you play there instead? He's a long way away from the worst player on the pitch today.
