  1. I think that's just because Wednesday are so bad they are leaving huge gaps in midfield. Better teams just don't give us that space and we generally lose the MF battle.
  2. Nice finish from Azaz. Suspicion of offside maybe?
  3. Who is the commentator alongside Tessem today?
  4. You say that, but that's twice in a minute they've caused us problems at the back.
  5. Armstrong never, ever chooses the better option in those situations does he. Always just leathers it and hopes for the best instead of playing in someone in a better position - in this case there were two.
  6. We did that for about ten minutes on Wednesday night as well, but then just reverted to type for the rest of the game.
  7. Yup. Got him down as a guaranteed scorer but not expecting it in his own net. Oh Arma - terrible dive.
  8. Wednesday nearly fumble it into their own net after a terrible cross.
  9. Spors won't have the final say in the matter though.
  10. Well at least we might get a bit more penetration in behind. Cue @trousers with a gif.
  11. Because Rasmus cunt-face fucking prick Ankerson thinks it's a good idea. Honestly, just seeing a picture of that smug cunt's face and knowing that he ever had any fucking thing to do with this club just makes my fucking blood boil.
  12. Genuine question - what exactly do you see in him to make you think that? Have you seen the line-up he has chosen for today's game at home to the bottom team in the league? We need someone who will definitely be a big improvement on Still, not yet another pet SR project who shows promise and might make go on to be a good manager at some point. We might have won at QPR but we played just as badly as we have at any point this season, and I see nothing to suggest today's game is going to be any different.
  13. What exactly was the point of sacking Still when we did if Eckert is just going to do EXACTLY THE SAME FUCKING THINGS! 5 at the back at home against the bottom team Bazunu back in goal despite being so obviously not a Championship standard keeper Azaz in for Robinson after he was utter gash again midweek while Robinson played OK and scored Dear fucking lord.
  14. Mentioned it on the match thread but it's worth repeating here. The very first thing he did after coming on last night was to deliberately run away from a ball into the box from a FK. It's one thing to fail to challenge for a ball, but to actively avoid it is indefensible. I've no idea what's going on in his head, but for a young lad with an obvious point to prove to do that is just mind-boggling. And for whatever improvement there might have been last night, he still doesn't look even remotely like a Championship player to me.
  15. I saw zero evidence of that last night.
  16. The sensible thing to do would be to revert to a back four and play Stephens at LB, where he has played in the past to an OK degree. At least he would try and occasionally stop a cross, unlike Manning.
  17. If I had to choose between McCarthy staying in the 6 yard box and trusting himself to save a one on one from a tight angle and Baz making a total pigs ear of it and gifting a free shot on an open goal, well it's not even a choice is it.
  18. Not me. He should have anticipated that he wouldn't get there before the striker and positioned himself better to save any shot. The fact he came out for a ball he was never going to get, and then just threw a pathetic flappy hand at it while standing still and allowing him a free shot at goal is why he's rightly getting pelters for it.
  19. Yeah there was very little power in that header. He often makes easy saves look harder than they actually are. The one against Wrexham on the opening day right before we equalised is a prime example. Plenty of people were getting excited that his goalkeeping had actually improved since he last played for us and pointed to that as evidence that he would be perfectly ok this season. But if you watch it back, you realise that it was actually a very poorly hit shot, and Baz only just did enough to turn it onto the post. He's an utterly gash keeper that wouldn't get a start for a single other team in this league. I can't believe there are still people on here defending him. Watching him always reminds me of that time we had to put Dexter Blackstock in goal against Newcastle, so little does he resemble a professional keeper.
  20. He doesn't. We've only won two games with him in goal - Wrexham on opening day and tonight. We've drawn three though, so that's where the 9 point stat comes from. He and Macca have played 7 games each, and while we haven't got as many points with Macca in goal, I've seen him make plenty of saves in those games that Bazunu is incapable of. The points argument is a smokescreen - Macca is and always will be a less shit keeper.
  21. All smiles and back slapping on the bench at FT. Despite winning, there's very little there to be happy or excited about. That was one of our all time worst performances. I'm terrified that Spors is going to give Eckert the gig now.
  22. Maybe we need to start including a basic IQ test as part of our recruitment process. We've got a team full of brainless twats.
