It's actually the minor injuries unit rather than A&E. But the point applies to both. I had a near miss on my bike with a dickhead driver last week and slammed my upper thigh down on the front of the saddle when the back wheel came down again after I slammed on the brakes and narrowly avoided going over the handlebars. Thought it would just be sore for a few days and then get better, but it's just not healing. The stupid cunt just shrugged at me and drove off 😠
