I've just been reading about Officer Eugene Goodman. I already saw the video of him - a lone black USCP officer - being chased through corridors by an angry mob yelling racist abuse at him, and thought how terrifying it must have been. Turns out he was deliberately luring them in the wrong direction, having identified that the doors to the senate floor were not secured. He even pushed one of them to sufficiently enrage him so that he and those behind him would follow him to a location where he knew there would be other officers waiting. He put himself in harm's way to protect the senior legislators and almost certainly saved lives. He deserves the highest honour available.

They've only done that because they wanted to include Everton who are currently below us on the same points but with a game in hand, which if they win will put them a point off the top.

How else would you describe a group of armed thugs smashing their way into the legislature intent on preventing the official certification of a democratic election? It might have been a pathetic and doomed to fail attempt at a coup, but it was an attempt nonetheless.

UK fishermen halting exports to EU as ‘catastrophe’ Brexit bureaucracy renders business unviable https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-fish-trade-uk-eu-lorries-exports-b1784312.html If only there was a way we could have foreseen this

He's always been in a fragile mental state. That's why the US has got into this mess.

Ha! I shared a version of this lastnight but the tweet has been deleted now. Someone has just pointed out that she has quite obviously got an onion in her towel!!!

He's absolutely not implying that every Trump supporter is like that, as shown by his use of the words "particularly the ones" - he's *literally* singling that group out for special treatment. Just to reiterate - the POTUS is saying "we love you all, you're special" to a group that includes people making no attempt to disguise their disgusting neo-nazi beliefs, and here you are having a pop at a well known Jewish person for calling him out on it.

This bloke? You mean David Schneider? The Jewish writer/actor David Schneider who has been extremely critical of Corbyn over the last few years?

I'm not convinced he would be a good fit for Ralph's system. He's probably looking to get some regular first team football and he ain't gonna get it at Saints right now.

Then why don't you enlighten us all what this wonderful yet cryptic point of yours is, seeing as no-one seems to have a clue what you're on about?
-
No, I completely understood the point you were trying to make. You're sarcastically trying to point out that if it was leftist protestors then people on that 'side' would be trying to play it down. It just wasn't funny or worth a response.
-
Surprised you're not trying to blame it all on Antifa.

I think he's broken Twitter!

Buckle up America. This is going to be a bumpy ride.

Democrat Raphael Warnock is projected to beat the incumbent Kelly Loeffler in one of the Georgia senate runoffs. The other one is yet to be called, but if that goes blue as well, it will be very interesting to see Donnie's reaction.

My big gripe with him (other than the ridiculous amount of time he spent forensically analysing how poorly Liverpool defended the FK that led to our goal) was the way he talked about us being lucky to have Danny Ings. The way he said it was so dismissive, as if a player of his calibre would never normally want to come to such a lowly club like us. It was very disrespectful.

This is all well and good in the attacking third, but doing it in your own half when you've only just turned over the ball and there are already opposing attackers in a forward position waiting to receive it is suicidal, and immediately puts the defence under intense pressure. He just needs to be a little smarter in deciding when to attempt it.

Yeah I've just seen this. The horrifying thing is that the data used for Leeds are from the period ending 20 November, meaning this information has been available for over 6 weeks now. Yet we still get Matt Wanksock going on TV and insisting there is "no evidence" that the risk to teachers is any higher than to anyone else. Well there clearly is, so either he's not bothering to look for that evidence, or he's saying something he knows to be untrue. Either way, it paints him in a very bad light.
