  1. FWIW, I think PMQs is just a pointless pantomime. It doesn't matter what Corbyn gets up and asks May, she will never give a straight answer anyway, because she never once has. All she can do is spin every question round into some sort of attack on Labour, as if they are the ones responsible for the total catastrophe we currently find ourselves in. It's risible.
  2. Ah, so you're saying the contest last time was flawed because people who would be directly affected by the result were not given the opportunity to cast a vote? I see.
  3. Absolutely this. People seem to forget that it was only around 18 months ago we voted him our player of the year. If we can get him back to the form he showed playing for Puel then he would make a big difference to our overall defensive play.
  4. Where were you looking exactly?
  5. And yet as far as the BBC are concerned, the biggest story is the fact that the FCO are blaming the hack on the Russians, and not the revelations themselves. Hardly surprising. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46509956
  6. Kudos to David Cameron for never deleting this tweet.
  7. Very little to laugh about over Brexit at the moment, but this has brought some comic relief from the total f*cknuttery going on... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucJ6RPez06s
  8. Yeah that was him. Just had a look at his record on Wiki, and he really didn't go on to great things. Biggest club he ever played for was Nice, where he got 2 goals in 14 appearances. After that, there's not a single club I've ever even heard of.
  9. Who was the young Italian lad who scored shedloads for the reserve team a few years back but never got a chance in the first team?
  10. I agree with your first and third points, but Davis in for Romeu? What have you been smoking? Romeu was our second best player yesterday (behind Lemina), and Davis has never shown any evidence of being able to play that role. It would be suicide to play him there against Arsenal.
  11. Really? From what I saw, Bednarek was much more calm and composed, with only one dodgy moment where he lost possession in a dangerous area. JV might have won a few headers, but aside from that he was an accident waiting to happen for the entire match. He got dispossessed numerous times, and it was obvious that Cardiff were targetting him as a weak link.
  12. Yep I agree. McQueen at least looks physically more like a real footballer, whereas Targett is just far too lightweight and slow. He gets brushed off the ball too easily and he's scared to put in a tackle. He made it so easy for Mendez-Laing to get past him time and time again yesterday. it was pathetic and painful to watch. The only time I have ever seen him be even slightly effective is when he played as LWB with Bertrand behind him on the left of a back 3. But I doubt very much we will see that system from RH.
  13. I never want to see Vestegaard or Targett in a Saints shirt again. Bother of them were L2 standard at best today. I don't think I have ever watched a Saints team make so many individual errors in one game. If we had been playing Man City today they would have got a rugby score. Might have been a different story if the ref hadn't been such a useless pr!ck and given us at least one of the two blatant penalties, but that would have flattered us. We were woeful in defence and ineffective in attack. Don't recall their keeper making a single save. I didn't expect us to look immediately better under the new manager, but I also didn't expect us to put in our worst performance of the season by a country mile either.
  14. F*cking ell ref? That's another stonewall penalty not given!!
  15. Yay. JWP coming on. Just what we need when we're chasing a game and need some inspiration.
  16. Only a matter of time before one of our CBs' howlers lead to a goal. Absolutely unforgivable, that.
  17. Do we have anybody else who can play LB on the bench? Targett has been absolutely woeful today.
  18. WTF are these pundits on about? He deliberately left his leg in to trip Armstrong. Penalty all day long!
  19. Got to be a pen that surely?
  20. Fair enough. But I still think we would be looking much better overall with him in there in place of JV.
  21. I'm at a loss to know what Stephens did to deserve to be dropped. He was our best defender for the last two games. This back four, against a better side than Cardiff, would have let in 3 or 4 by now. Vestergaard has been atrocious, Targett has made a handful of howlers and gifted them chances, and Valery will be very lucky not to get a second yellow the way he's going. Going forward, we don't seem to have any plan or shape when attacking. Not getting in behind at all, and our best chance fell to Lemina who really had to do better with the time and space he had. Ralph really has got his work cut out to get this lot playing like a team.
  22. Valery is a red card waiting to happen.
  23. Yet another absolute howler from Targett to gift them another chance to attack.
  24. Both CBs looking incredibly shaky today. I feel a bit sorry for Stephens really. Last few games he has looked the best of our current options so he will be disappointed to have been dropped today.
