  1. Burnley got very lucky. Their first goal was an OG and they blatantly should have had a penalty given against them for handball.
  2. Not quite. Long scored against Leicester. But it looked like it was off target and Schmeichel diverted it in.
  3. Yeah that's ridiculous.
  4. Into 'Murray' time.
  5. What the buggering hell is going on? We can't even string 3 passes together at the moment. Will be amazed if we manage to hold on for the win now.
  6. What the hell's happened? We were looking so in control and all of a sudden Brighton have jumped up a gear or two and having some pressure.
  7. Gallagher coming on for Ings?
  8. Definitely the team asking more questions of the opposition defence so far, but lacking any real penetration. I get the sense that Brighton will be happy to play out a draw, which really doesn't suit us as we always struggle to break down those teams. Ings definitely looking a little rusty, understandably, but still far more of a threat than a fully fit Austin or Long. Hojbjerg MOTM so far for me. He's been the main instigator of pretty much all our decent attacking play and is making some great runs.
  9. He was, briefly.
  10. Finally going with the preferred back four, with Vestergaard not even on the bench. Is this the 4-2-2-2 that Ralph is apparently so in favour of?
  11. The fact there hasn't been a single major poll showing a leave majority for over two years now suggests it is.
  12. Today of all days!
  13. Realistically, it was dead when it got defeated by a historical margin first time round, but May in her stubbornness managed to keep it on life support. I seriously doubt there's any way it can be resuscitated now though. Today was her desperate last throw of the dice.
  14. You reckon? We were supposed to be leaving today remember.
  15. This has to go back to the public now. Has to. It's ridiculous. If Parliament can keep changing their minds but still can't come up with an acceptable way forward, there is simply no justification for continuing to stick with the "We must respect the result of the referendum" line, given all the water that's passed under the bridge since then.
  16. Yes it's bad luck for Cardiff right now, but those are probably the three best players in our squad and we have been without them for most of the season so far. Had they been fit and available, and had we not lost Yoshida for a month to the Asian cup and been forced to play Stephens instead, I expect we would have a much larger gap over Cardiff than we currently do. So yes, you really can say we haven't had luck on our side.
  17. Oh undoubtedly. Meanwhile, Dominic Raab, who previously stated that May's deal would be worse than staying in the EU, is now backing the WA motion today because "It's better than staying in the EU". So you've changed your mind eh Dom? Interesting.
  18. Cardiff will be without Callum Patterson for the rest of the season... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47726278
  19. Of course it is. Win and we draw level with them on points (and potentially leapfrog them on GD depending on margin of victory), but lose and we will be 6 points behind them.
  20. Yes, you read that right. The leader of a supposedly credible political party, who recently appointed a convicted violent criminal as his special advisor, spreading outright untruths (he obviously missed the recent news report about Boris' water cannons being sold for scrap after the govt refused to allow their use) and pre-blaming the police for any violence that might* occur in London today. https://twitter.com/MetPoliceEvents/status/1111538049710723073 Who was it on here who was saying there would be a massive resurgence of support for UKIP if Brexit was cancelled and there was a GE? With this massive bellend in charge they have essentially just become the new BNP. A pointless, single-issue fringe party with about as much charm as a rabid dog. * - by "might", I mean "quite obviously, definitely will".
  21. https://twitter.com/Keir_Starmer/status/1111319086049443841?s=09 When put like this, May's attempt to separate them in order to bypass Bercow's ruling seems like a desperate last throw of the dice.
  22. And the DUP have already said they won't support it - unsurprisingly. What was the margin of defeat last time round? I know there's been a few high-profile u-turns from the vultures in the ERG (although Boris has turned about so many times now he must be dizzy), but will that be enough still? Would still need a number of Labour MPs to vote in favour or abstain, so it still looks unlikely.
  23. Seems so. And Bercow has gone along with, it seems. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-47740158 Does she have the numbers though?
