Flammable Cladding and Exploding Fridges

If they hadn't been so f*cking stupid as to post a video of it on social media, you would have a valid point. -
Flammable Cladding and Exploding Fridges

Heard on the radio news that the police are investigating it as a public order offence, and they have already handed themselves in. -
A win for Fulham would lift them above us, so a draw is probably the best result for us.
-
Nobody is loving it you tiresome c*nt. All you ever do is attack other posters then get all f*cking butt hurt when people call you out on it.
-
F**k me that's embarrassing. They just did some passing practice in our area FFS.

And you're the one posting in the Philip Green thread about fair trials and judicial process (on which I am actually, for once, in agreement with you). Do you really think it is the role of the BBC to invite people under criminal investigation onto a flagship political show to get their denials out into the public domain, and potentially influence a jury before any charges are actually brought? If the NCA's investigation reveals that Banks knowingly used foreign state funding to influence the outcome of a democratic vote, then he is potentially guilty of treason. Do you really think it is appropriate for our 'impartial' state broadcaster to be giving him the platform to present his side of the story unchallenged?
-
Pulis mentions that we are in talks about bringing him back 'home' for his recovery. Would make sense I guess, because he's not going to play again this season now.
-
Get it right Batman, that's an entirely different situation. Some Labour members are being investigated; the party itself is not. So yes, I fully expect them to invite a senior member of the party on to discuss the situation so they can give them yet another public beating about antisemitism, but we both know they will not invite any of the individual members being investigated on to plea their defence prior to any potential trial, as they are doing with Banks.

https://twitter.com/BBCPolitics/status/1058336682716643329 WTF!? Banks is being given an open platform on the BBC to refute the allegations against him. All political views aside, this is completely wrong. He is being investigated by the NCA, and by giving him this platform to air his story unchallenged (Marr FFS - the wettest, most insipid political interviewer the Beeb has ever employed) they are potentially influencing the outcome of that investigation. Are they now going to start platforming other suspected criminals as well? Phillip Green next perhaps? This is f*cked up.

Was it though? OK we didn't have the obscenely rich teams of Chelsea and Man City in those days, but the PL was still completely dominated by Man U and Arsenal, and there were some truly awful teams to 'grace' the top flight in the 90s. Barnsley and Swindon spring to mind.

Bring back four saints players to save our team.

Probably because he was able to get away with his slow pace and general lethargy in the 90s. PL football has evolved since then and he wouldn't get anything like the time and space he used to get and would need to be effective in today's game. -
No, the football wasn't any better. Most of the time it was a lot worse. But the big difference between now and then was we had players who cared and wore the shirt with pride. For instance, Franny Benali may have been an incredibly limited player, but he never gave anything less than his best effort. Compare that to the casual attitude of our current left back (and captain), it's no wonder fans are so disengaged. We also had MLT, who could look completely anonymous for the entire 90 minutes but still win us the game with a sublime bit of individual magic. There was always that hope that kept you believing we could still get something out of a game, which is so sadly lacking at the moment.

And now the FBI have upgraded Farage from 'person of interest' to 'actively being investigated'.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46056337 Interesting development in the Brexit saga. Arron Banks has been referred to the NCA over the investigation into suspect campaign funding by Leave.EU. I wonder what will come of it and how that will impact on proceedings? Edit: Dammit Eric, you beat me to it!

He would need to be good at tackling to play that role. He isn't.
-
Bet365 are offering 50/1 on us winning 1-0. The odds on City winning 7-0 are only 40/1.
-
He's been a good servant to us and played a key role in our successes between 2014-2016, but I wouldn't be sorry to see him leave and certainly wouldn't begrudge him a move back to Rangers. Good luck to him.
-
I reckon we've got a good chance actually. We know after last season's trip up there that Pep reeeeeeeally rates Redmond, and thinks he's one of the best players in the PL. so I fully expect him to be putting three men on him at all times, which should leave loads more space for our other prolific attackers to exploit.
-
No, not too soon. It wouldn't matter if you had left it for a whole year, you would still show yourself to be a total bellend.
-
Where are you getting that from? All I've seen reported is that he had criticised him for being too globalist (which is not a word that any sane person would use to describe him, let's be honest).
-
Not defending Redmond at all, but if we're going to assign blame for a player not passing to a team-mate in a much better position, then surely Mo's failure to square it to a completely un-marked Ings for the easiest of tap-ins in the first 10 minutes is far more damning.

BBC news this morning had an audio clip of an on-the-scene interview with a photographer who witnessed the incident, and he seemed to be implying that the fireball occurred at the moment of impact. If that's true then I reckon the chances of anybody on board having survived are pretty much nil.
-
https://twitter.com/DresdanPI/status/1056296316459016192 Unconfirmed, of course. But not looking good at all.
-
Looking at some of the pictures and video footage, I would be very surprised if anybody survived that. Awful. Just awful.
-
We weren't unlucky, really. We were clearly the better team, but our attacking quality was dreadful and we didn't score because we didn't have any decent enough shots at goal. Nothing to do with bad luck.
