Carved open and left outnumbered in the box yet again. Koeman has to make a tactical change or this could be a repeat of the league cup game.
-
Jesus! Should have been 3 there. This is embarrassing. We are such a Jeckyl and Hyde team.
-
I must have dreamt that 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge earlier this season then.
-
I really f*cking hate Daniel Sturridge and his stupid f*cking dance
-
Watch the replay again. After Long's last touch of the ball he moved sideways, away from the path of the ball, then fell over at the slightest hint of contact. I can completely understand why East didn't give it, and I agree with him. If that was the other way round and it was given, everyone on here would be going batsh*t mental. FFS -Coutinho does it again.
-
Nope. Sorry guys but the ref got that spot on. Long clearly ran into Lovren and engineered the contact. Never a penalty.
-
I see Lawro has tipped us to win

Brighton up to 2nd in the Championship. Imagine us, Bournemouth and Brighton up in the PL while Pompey (drew with Mansfield today) languish around in L2!

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)

Post-Match Reaction: Stoke City 1-2 SAINTS
Sheaf Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I didn't get to watch the game yesterday and so I've only just seen the highlights on MOTD. Some observations from what I saw.... Tadic needs some shooting practice. Lee Mason should never be allowed to referee in the PL ever again. Is it just coincidence that as soon as the spring weather arrives, Pelle starts playing well again? -
Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland
Sheaf Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
It's only one match for a professional foul isn't it? I thought it was only 3 games for serious foul or violent conduct. Anyway, what an utterly crap performance. What is it with Pelle? How can a player look so good in the early stages of a season and then go on to be such utter turd for the rest of it? As for Mane - he's just a waste of a shirt at the moment. Can't control the ball or even be bothered to make the runs he used to make. We would honestly be better off playing one of the U-18s. Once again it falls to a defensive player to provide the finish with all of our attackers firing blanks for the umpteenth time this season. I really hope Long and Austin are back soon. We will struggle to score more than 10 more goals this season at this rate. -
And there it is. Inevitable.
-
West Ham back to 2-2 now at Everton.
-
Oh dear.
-
Oh dear lord, how is it possible for a professional striker to balls up a chance as much as Pelle did just then!? FFS!
-
Clasie and Davis off - Juanmi and JWP on.
-
Juanmi coming on
-
Defoe coming on now.
-
Much brighter start to the second half. Much more urgency about our forward play than in the first 45.
-
I'm going to invoke the spirit of trousers and say.... This has got 0-0 written all over it.
-
Our only real attacking threat is from Bertrand. Speaks volumes that does.
-
That's a bit better. Romeu nearly scores but can't get enough on it to beat Mannone.
-
Rodwell left unmarked and shoots wide. Good chance for them, terrible team defending from us.
-
Free header from VVD straight at Mannone from a corner. If we're going to score today you feel it will come from a set piece because our attacking players don't seem able to create anything from open play. At least during our previous poor spell we were still playing alright and creating chances, just wasteful in front of goal.
-
None of our forward players have any composure. They all seem incapable of even controlling the ball.
