  1. What, exclusively?
  2. And the fact that he has now left the BBC doesn't bother you in the slightest??? >>>by the way - it's paid, not payed ;-)
  3. You know what, I really don't care if I get an infraction for this... You really are a f***ing moron aren't you dune.
  4. I don't think he had an agenda, certainly not a politically-leaning one anyway. He was mostly pointing out to Griffin the contradictions in his statements based on things he had done and was quoted as saying previously. It's probably fair to say that the show's producers, having taken a lot of flak from large sections of the public for inviting him on in the first place, went to some lengths to make sure he did not come out of the experience in a good light. But then, he made a perfectly good job of that himself without needing to be 'stitched up'. It was just as everyone expected - give him enough rope and he'll hang himself - and he duly obliged. Anyway, as someone has already pointed out, if this is the only example that you can find in defense of your claims of the BBC leaning to the left (ONE show, which everybody agrees was a one-off and in no way representative of the show or the BBC's political allegiances in general) then I think we can safely say that you are wrong.
  5. Well actually, everything is stopping me, seeing as I'm not a rich landowner with acres of forest. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to go and live and hunt on other people's land in this day and age.
  6. I simply meant that the general population would dictate to the banks instead of the other way round.
  7. I mean it's a good idea if anybody is ever going to challenge the global domination of the major banks. The only way to hurt them is in their pocket. Of course, we could just carry on with things as they are with banks screwing everyone over, making obscene profits and basically controlling government policy; or we can stand up to them and say "We've done it your way for too long, now it's time to do it our way". That is why it is a good idea. The obvious downside is that if banks were to all shut down then so would all businesses, and if that were to happen then mankind would be thrown back into the dark ages with everyone having to hunt and forage for their own food instead of just popping down the supermarket. I personally don't think that would be such a bad thing TBH, because maybe everyone would finally get over their innate materialism. Perhaps it would help the massive over-population problem we have as well as many simply would not be able to cope. Can you imagine if the playstation generation actually had to go out and fend for themselves? It's quite a shame what skills mankind has lost over the five thousand odd years since the dawn of civilisation (I used italics there because I personally think that forcing people to live in such confined areas with other humans and caring only about their own material gains is far from 'civilised' but that's another matter).
  8. It's not really. It's a good idea in principle. The only way to release the stranglehold of the global banks is for everyone to withdraw their money simultaneously, as the figures on the accounts are not backed up by hard currency, or by anything come to that. Of course it will never happen, because if everyone did do this there would be utter chaos. World markets would collapse, stocks and shares would become worthless, businesses would shut down as they would have no cash to pay their employees; but most of all everyone would actually have to go out into the world and fend for themselves and that is probably the main reason why people would never follow through with it.
  9. I agree it was, but with Griffin on the panel it was never going to be anything else was it, let's face it. There's no way that they could have had a normal QT debate about the week's issues when there was the 'elephant in the room' of this vile cretin who needed to be publicly challenged about some of his more extreme statements and actions.
  10. Interesting watching the piece they did on Brighton's new stadium. It's going to have 10,000 less seats than St Marys but is going to cost 3 times as much!
  11. Before someone else does... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDW_Hj2K0wo
  12. Taking into account the fact that he considered the Blair/Brown Nu Labour government to be socialist, I rather suspect he doesn't.
  13. And I am not in the least bit shocked that you have managed to turn yet another thread into a rant about socialism. If someone started a thread about flowers in springtime you would find a way to blame socialist marxist leftist communist yoghurt-knitting tree-hugging hippies for getting them banned in some way. Change the record for once, eh?
  14.
  15. 6 music is a fantastic radio station and I'm glad it has been granted a reprieve BBC news, even if some people question its political allegiances, is widely regarded as one of the best news broadcasters in the world Local BBC radio gives us Saints coverage Loads of live music events and showcasing of new musical talent (Glastonbury coverage included)
  16. You seem to have a very selective memory Corp. Do you not recall coming on here and boasting about how the new owners were going to get Maradonna in as an ambassador and sign Riquelme? Because everyone else does.
  17. So this has descended into a "I know more about world history than you" thread has it? Great....
  18. If his life was some kind of dark sitcom then yes, I agree that his shocking ignorance of the reality of people's lives would be in some way humorous; but it is not. This is the real royal family of the 21st century we are talking about here, and that's what makes his very existence at the expense of taxpayers so objectionable.
  19. The Prince angered local residents in Lockerbie when on a visit to the town in 1993, he said to a man who lived in a road where 11 people had been killed by wreckage from the Pan Am jumbo jet: "People usually say that after a fire it is water damage that is the worst. We are still trying to dry out Windsor Castle." At the height of the recession in 1981 he said: "Everybody was saying we must have more leisure. Now they are complaining they are unemployed." Dune, are you seeeeeriously trying to tell me you don't think these two statements from him show him to be living in an unreality bubble? Seriously?
  20. Is it really any wonder that people take issue with the royals when they are that badly out of touch with reality?
  21. Will be interesting to see how Sheff Wednesday get on with their court case against HMRC today. Follow it here... http://twitter.com/bbc_matt
  22. You really are a tool aren't you dune. Why does anti-royal automatically mean communist? Seriously, please explain that to me.
  23. That's because the BBC, in particular, have a clause in their charter demanding that they blow as much sunshine up the arses of the royal family as they can at every possible opportunity.* *This may or may not have any basis in fact.
  24. Whoop-de-doo. Some rich aristocrat is getting married. I really couldn't be less interested. Actually, that's a bit unfair. Although I am very much anti-royal, I do think William is alright. He's obviously had a very cosseted upbringing, but he does come across as a lot more grounded than most of the eccentrics in his family. If we insist on keeping the monarchy then I would rather that the crown was passed straight to him than to his lunatic dad when Liz finally pops her clogs.
