It's not like he was going to be in their starting 11 anytime soon though.

Good point. I did wonder why they evacuated the pool after I got out.

The satisfying squelchy sound my wet trunks make when I sit down in the steam room after a swim.

New Chemical Brothers album - For That Beautiful Feeling. A superb return to form after their somewhat disappointing previous offering.

Matt LeTiss (evening with Matt in Shrewsbury)

Correct. The primary reason that these things usually take so long is the delays caused waiting for funding. With Covid, there were rich philanthropists queueing up to throw money at it so we could get it rolled out and get the global economy moving again ASAP. -
I watched some of that game yesterday. A few minutes after the Tom Curry incident one of the Argie players clattered and England player in the head from a late attempt to block a kick upfield, and only got a yellow despite it looking a lot more reckless. The fact that Curry's was upgraded to red by the foul play review official and the other one wasn't didn't make any sense.

Yes, very scary. But that's an entirely different kind of caving. The ones Badger and I are talking about in Slovenia are tourist attractions with guided tours on purpose built gangways, and they are far more accessible. If you got ill in one of those, it wouldn't require a mammoth rescue operation. They are amazing places to visit.

Bohinj is stunning. We went in early April and it was virtually deserted. Did the long walk up to the waterfall and barely saw anyone. From there we got a train to Divača - a beautiful journey along the river valleys, and from there we visited the caves at Škocjan, which was an incredible experience.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

It seems Rishi was shown evidence of a critical risk to life from the crumbling concrete in schools two years ago when he was chancellor, so instead of addressing that he decided to halve the budget for school repairs. Amazing. Sunak refused to fully fund repairs of England’s crumbling schools, says ex-official | Schools | The Guardian -
I dunno. Macca is limited, but at least I've seen him occasionally make top drawer saves when I was sure it was going in. Never seen Baz do that. As a shot-stopper, Macca is far better than Baz, but his distribution is shockingly bad.

Yeah I was thinking similar. Plenty of people on here have been critical of the 'against the ball' philosophy in recent times, but yesterday highlighted just how important that aspect of the game is. Absolutely no point harping on about possession if we're just going to let oppo teams carve through us at will when we don't have the ball.

Everton were playing at Sheff Utd at exactly the same time our match was on. He can't be much of a fan if he chose to watch our game instead.
-
It looked like that from one angle, but he actually hit the net-stand post when he had acres of space and time to get a shot on target.
-
Really? I didn't see him make any saves that you wouldn't expect any semi competent keeper to make. And he made a hash of a couple of those by palming them right back into the danger area too. Saving a 'sure' goal, IMO, is when a keeper pulls off an unexpected save of a shot that's heading right into the corner. I've genuinely never seen Baz do that - ever.
-
He has single-handedly kept them in the PL for the last two seasons.
-
Honestly baffles me how there are still people defending him. Got his hand to that but couldn't keep it out cos he has paper wrists. He is utter fucking shite. I'm trying to think of a worse keeper we've had in all my years watching Saints, and I honestly can't. He needs dropping now.
-
You spoke too soon!
-
So do I, but it's likely RM will be under pressure to select him regardless.
-
What worries me is that he will be expecting game time. He didn't come to us to be backup, and I know Everton have historically included clauses in their loan agreements stating the loaning club must pay X amount each time their man doesn't play.

We won't be by 5pm.

Holgate taken off at last. Up there with the worst debuts in history. Never saw that coming 😐

Sunderland keeper fucks up royally and gets away with it.

He literally had no idea where to be when their player ran through just now.
