That's a truly horrific statement. All that money spent on new attacking players in the summer and we still have to rely on goals from two of the poorest defenders in the squad to actually get a win at home. Fuck me that's depressing.

Sorry but I entirely disagree with this. Yes they've invested, but their sole motivation for investing in players is the potential profit the be made when we inevitably sell them on. They're not interested in building and keeping hold of a successful team. That doesn't qualify as having their heart in the right place as far as I'm concerned.

I should have inserted the word 'occasionally' somewhere in that sentence. However, if you're referring to the one that came back off the post to him, I'm not gonna blame him for that. It sat up just too high and was a much harder chance than some on here made out.

It's not heresy to point out the obvious. He was very poor again today. He's got a tidy finish when it's put on a plate for him. But he doesn't contribute enough, and having both him and Armstrong on the pitch today was never going to work.
