He wasn't though. Lino got that wrong.

She demonstrated how little she actually knows about law when she was Attorney General.

Hypo - for as many years as I can remember, you've been posting dog-whistle Islamophobia on here and vehemently denying it when challenged. And yet, in your mind, anybody who doesn't share your view on this issue must by default be a Jew hating antisemite, and you flat out refuse to retract that when presented with clear explanations why that isn't the case. Spectacular double standards on your part, I must say.

Wonderful track. Was lucky enough to go and see them at the Manchester Apollo when they toured that album and it's hands down the best gig I've ever been to.

Anyway, back on topic...

Yeah point taken, but he's obviously not alone in the sentiments he expressed. Those beliefs lie at the very heart of Israel's expansionist policies in the West Bank.

I hadn't, because I didn't refresh the page before posting and thus didn't see your post, but I have now and it only reinforces the point that the growth figures you originally quoted are false because they are not adjusted for inflation...

It doesn't say that in exactly those words, but anybody who knows how to read graphs would see they quite clearly show negative growth in exports to both EU and non-EU countries since the end of the Brexit transition period, when inflation is adjusted for, and only a slight increase in imports from the EU (you know, that trading bloc that we used to have unlimited access to) which is mostly offset by a drop in non-EU imports. So when can we expect to start seeing the amazing benefits to our GDP of these wonderful new trade deals that leaving the EU was supposed to allow us to make?

Came across this earlier. Angelina Jolie's father (actor John Voight) has had a pop at her on social media for daring to be outspoken about the humanitarian disaster in Gaza. He said: He's talking about divine retribution, which sounds an awful lot like religious fundamentalism to me. And I found it interesting because this aspect of the conflict never seems to be discussed in the western media. Obviously there has been an overwhelming amount of stuff printed/broadcast about Islamic fundamentalism since the turn of the century, but nobody ever seems to want to talk about the fact that the Zionist movement is itself underpinned by a fervent belief in the ancient scriptures that tell of God promising the land to Abraham and his descendants (probably for fear of being accused of being antisemitic).

UK trade - Office for National Statistics (ons.gov.uk) After removing the effect of inflation by calculating "chained volume measures" (explained in Section 10: Glossary), total goods imports decreased by £0.4 billion (1.1%) in August 2023 (Figure 2). This was because imports from the EU fell by £0.7 billion (3.2%), while imports from non-EU countries rose by £0.3 billion (1.7%). Total goods exports fell by £1.3 billion (4.6%) in August 2023, after the effect of inflation is removed. Exports to non-EU countries decreased by £1.0 billion (7.2%) and exports to EU countries fell by £0.2 billion (1.8%).

Tickets have gone on general sale this morning but there's only a handful left so you'd better get in there quick (if you haven't already). Edit: Only about 50 tickets left as of 5 mins ago. Looks like it's gonna be another sell out away crowd.

Some nice tidy passing in the build up, but the thing that struck me is the ridiculous amount of space their winger was given, leading to a 4 on 3 overload. I just hope Bree is going to be fit, because I don't really trust Manning not to go missing and leave the same kind of space on that side.

Where have they got those figures from though? The Telegraph article that you copied and pasted it from doesn't provide any links except to a couple of its own opinion pieces. How do we know the IEA haven't just plucked them out if thin air? It's not like they don't have previous for just making shit up when it comes to Brexit, is it. As the burden of proof rests with the person making the claim, why don't you provide us with a credible source to support those figures, because it's difficult to take anything that comes from Tufton Street seriously about anything. You might as well have cited the Beano.

Been a while since last "where are they now (posters)" thread?
Sheaf Saint replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
Pap used to be quite amusing up until he threw himself down the conspiracy rabbit hole and couldn't pull himself out. Is Pancake still around? Not seen him post in years. Former mod Saintlee sadly passed away a few years ago at what would have been a relatively young age. And of course more recently another forum stalwart Minsk departed, but leaving a lasting legacy of the points comparison thread (currently fallowed due to our relegation, of course). -
My guess is he's currently being held in a Saudi prison and they threatened to chop his hands off if he didn't type some complimentary comments about them on social media.

This is it for me too. There were times during that dire run where it looked like he would never work out that his tactics were leaving us hopelessly exposed on the counter, but credit to him because he has addressed that and we look much more solid now than we did in September.

And best of all, we no longer have a negative GD!

Ipswich have equalised, so that win was so important to keep up the pressure on the top 2.

I had literally just stuck a fiver on Millwall at 20/1 as an insurance bet when that happened. You're welcome

All streams pretty much dead, and even the live updates feed from Bet365 has ground to a halt now!
