Its not that suprising. Football is very expensive for people today and there is less money for people to spend on it, prices aren't getting any cheaper. Yes we should hope to have a bigger crowd tomorrow but we're not the only club. A few seasons ago for one of the games, Schalke fans boycotted a game because prices went from around £15 to £22-£30. Seems strong but the message was put across and the original prices remained.

This season has been incredibly expensive. I have had to cut my games massively inclduing home games. That will be the one massive downside to the Prem. Leeds can do one really for those prices. Shame as always good a away day

Jack Cork - to tune of GOLD. Cork.... Lyrics needed. For Billy Sharp, to tune of Daddy Cool, like the Harry Kewell: "Billy, Billy Sharp, Billy, Billy Sharp" Inspired. But think we could do with a few new songs

any ideas when this is going to happen? It's been two weeks already.

Puncheon for Guly maybe, really exploit the width. just gotta keep than one man advantage nothing stupid boys -
It worked well. I expect they will clsoe off much of Britannai Road and line the coaches down there and in the car park.

Dickson's performances have been very mixed at Yeovil, started badly, played well, than had another average game but scored. He hasn't been great but it takes time to settle in with a new team, and Yeovil have been struggling. Will tyr and find out more details on why etc

James Pearce, BBC bloke reporting decision likely to be made in next hour or two: http://twitter.com/pearcesport Bet he gets off.

He's lucky to still be playing football atm really, and on the same pitch as a player who he is court with? Inocent until proven guilty but it says a lot about someone when they are removed as England captain, twice!

I think Connolly by and large has been okay this season. He seemed to start the season reasonably well has faded slightly. I'm annoyed with those who say Barny can't do it. He has been out pretty much the whole season. He, like every other player who got us promoted, deserives the chance to prove himself in the team. He got a great number of goals last season when again he spent a while on the sidelines. It's clear from previous interviews that Rickie enjoys playing with him. On top of that he can finish and has a fantastic work-rate. He might not be top class but how can we say until he has had a sustained run in the team. Which he may now struggle to get this season. There have been plently of matches this season where we have struggled and needed a bit of a fight, grit and harrying of opposition which Connors and Guly certainly didn't provide. So I think we should keep him, he has a dew years left in him, its hard to say the same for Connolly despite his contribution this season.

and breathe..! Thank god. Was very nervous throughout the whole game. Glad we got a point and its another one out the way. Another draw at Brum would be great and WHU gd taken a battering too. Very good point. Connolly sounds so off the pace atm, make way for Billy Sharp and get Barny back on the bench please! -

We're so desperate for a win it's untrue. I wonder what the confidence is like in and around the squad. These three games are so crucial we need at least a win minimum. If we can just scrape one tonight, we can have some momentum for the next two away games Come on boys don;t care how we do it, lets just get the bloody three points -
Should be a good signing, lets not forget though Guly has scored just as many! Hope its not the end of Barnard really like him and would rather he stayed than Connolly
-
Probably expectation has something do with it. I started a thread for something for the Pompey game, really though it was just trying to start getting soem ideas banded around how we can make the support a bit better and a bit more interesting. As a collective there is plenty that can be done as deomonstrated at many clubs, without copying them. The Cardiff game, will hopefully get the noise levels up at SMS though
-
All is I can is good. Puncheon is the kind of player the side is missing atm as has displayed greater end product than De Ridder IMO, even though Steve will needs a run though. Anyway, patience is key but on a massive positive we could have for the Cardiff game: Lallana, Lambert, Barnard, Puncheon and Fonte back, his name in the squad gives us the option of playing with width, a better plan B

Pompey at home- something a bit special

WOuld be good but would never be allowed plus some muppet would probably chuck it in away end -
If the skates survive reckon we should do soemthing speical for the match. Can't remeber every experience something amazing visually at a ground in England. Think it would be good if, as fans we could work togehther, vote on an idea for the match. Hopefully will help inspire players more and maybe set-up a platform to do something again in the future. If Pompey go bust could do another game. But if we can find an inexpnsive way of doing it, would be nice to bring something a bit unique to SMS. Instead of red and white cards, was thinknig soemthing along the lines of: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=river+plate&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-gb&tbm=isch&tbnid=YL4hfWymrGyACM:&imgrefurl=http://www.barcaforum.com/showthread.php/1089-Argentina-primera-division&docid=hgs1fY62kkyujM&imgurl=http://img160.imageshack.us/img160/8117/504vm.jpg&w=640&h=426&ei=8tUfT6GpEcqfOv7l7cUO&zoom=1&biw=1280&bih=821&iact=rc&dur=310&sig=116815972220100899404&page=2&tbnh=151&tbnw=200&start=22&ndsp=28&ved=1t:429,r:9,s:22&tx=45&ty=68&surl=1 or: Not using the Markus flag... THe Northam would probably be the best area of the ground to try this! Anyway just an idea. Thoughts? If someone can put images up that wopuld be great i have no idea how to do it

I thought the crowd was dreadul last night. Booing the team at half-time? Always a good way to inspire players!... That MK Dons gamr had something else, Barnard, I think we really missing him at the moment. He will run all day, put defenders under pressure and to an extent puts himself about, added bonus he can put the ball in the back of the net.
-
Well he didn't start for two reasons which I can think of, a not fully fit, b, doesn't fit 4-3-1-2 formation if you consider him a wide player. My biggets frustration is he keeps turning on the ball but it seems to get him nowhere. His pace is great but he needs to be more direct when running at defenders. However, when he came on he was faced with two players to beat more often than not, it was up to us to try and stretch the game more and creat more space which to his credit, Adkins did tryand do by bringing De Ridder and Holmes on. De Ridder just needs more time. In a way its very difficult because in some respetcs we don't have time to bed players in, given our league position and aspirations for the remaunder of the season.
