Again a season long loan - so I don' think we can't recall him.
-
Deserves a fair go imho. I think he should be given a fresh start like Wotton under the new manager. He has not really done anything wrong this season and his form towards the end of last season was a major factor in keeping us up!
-
I thought he had a decent game. Very good in the air and was really enouraging McGlaggon. He may not be Premier League class anymore but I thought he was a real positive yesterday.
-
I must congratulate the organisers yesterday. The protest looked very impressive. The Welsh media also did us a favour during the week by reporting on the protests and asking the Swans fans to support it (there have also been in our situation) and it was great to see them supporting us from their buses.
-
I have been told that we dont have a recall option on Dyer. This was confirmed by RM after the Pompey game who stated that he was staying at the Swans for the rest of the year. I have also heard that Swansea have bid £500,000 for Dyer, which is significantly less than the £1.2 mill agreed with Saints and Sheffield United before they pulled out of the deal (he played significantly less than SU had thought he would).

I completely agree.

But unfortunately you cannot just dislodge relegation from the Premier League from this. If we had retained Preier League status then we probably would not be talking about this now. Bringing in an unproven manager in Jan did not work - hence he resigned. We are currently looking at facing our second relegation under Lowe in a matter of years. I think if you look at Lowe's tenure in charge since the mid 1990's he has made more incorrect decisions about the running of our football club than right ones.
-
Again I maybe wrong but didnt MC chase Paul Allen around the world to meet with him? Was this not discussed at the AGM?
-
Didn't Lowe and Wilde present a reasoned justification of why the SISU bid should be rejected? Can one assume that if that bid had been accepted in hindsight - and we only have to look at Coventry - we would be more financially secure?
-
The board members appointed by Wilde?
-
How much do you think these PR consultants are costing the Club? Stern's wages by chance....I dred to think!!!
-
For one, wasn't it Corbett that had been flying across Europe chasing potential investement? Was it Lowe et al that beat off the bid from the now owners of Coventry, who, and I may be wrong, are in a far more financially stable position than ourselves?
-
Without an analysis of the facts about rights and wrongs I for one would much prefer to see Corbett and Crouch back on the board for the simple reason that they have a much better understanding of the views of the majority of SFC fans.
-
I may be proved wrong but as I have been tolod by someone ITK he cannot be recalled this season.

If saints were a tv show what would it be called?

I think it is not just down to our tactics, but the opposing team as well. When we play away from home, teams will attack us more. With our passing game it enables us to get forward on the counter. At home however, the away teams are more defensive. We tend to throw men forward which has left us exposed in certain areas. The crowd can play a part in motivating a team, but as we are dealing with professional players, I would like to think this is only small beer and professional pride would be enough motivation. Maybe I am being nieve.

Jake Thompson scores!
-
And he did a channon - brilliant
-
Cork scored for Watford!
-
My friend is working for Media Wales and said he tried to do the channon but got mobbed - but all the fans knew what he was doing.
-
Same here!
-
Difficult one for me. Beattie scored some good goals...Chelsea free kick at home and another at their place. He scored an amazing goal against Sunderland away. However, it has to go to MTL. Possibly one of this against Norwich in 1989-90. But then again he scored some good goals against Newcastle home and away. The blackburn goal will always stick in the memory. Last game at the Dell?? You could pick any of his!!! Pahars vs Man U worth a mention?
-
Here is a question: Would you be happy to lose to Norwich - a relegation rival - if you knew for certain Jan would go?
-
I think although Surman is an excellent footballer, having played over 100 times for us now he could be reasy for a step up - assuming Reading go up. He is certainly in terms of experience better than Bale and Walcott were. However if I were a premier league manager I would be worried about his pace albeit in my opinion he is an excellent 'footballer'. Lallana on the other hand is different. He would be stupid to move to a Premier League club where he would most certainly be playing reserve football. He needs to work on his end product a lot more and gain more CCC experience. I am also not sure (assuming administration does not occur) whether it is the right time to sell. If we go down I dont think his price will alter too much and if we stay up then his value will only rise if he lives up to the hype.
