The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

Haha, the simplest wind-up ever. -
Also Bournemouth end nearly sold out according to their fans, hopefully it will be a decent home turnout
-
I'd like to see Alex OC as he was hungry for it pre-season, also Martin instead of Jaidi as the former had a strong pre-season and the latter seemed a bit clueless yesterday.
-
Of course, but it depends if Pardew wants to risk certain players. It sounded as though Rickie was close to making the bench for Plymouth, and therefore you'd expect him to be fit for Bournemouth, but Pards may be holding him back so he's 100% for MK Dons.

Time to look to the next game - the "derby". What strength team are people expecting to be fielded? I want this season to be solely about the league, forget the cup competitions, we had our fun with that last season, but having drawn Bournemouth and seeing how much their fans are desperate to beat the "scummers" I would love us to smash them. Looking at Pardew's comments it seems Rickie won't feature (saving him for MK), Lallana will play some part but no word on the rest of the team. I would like Bart to be given a go in goal having pledge his future and following one of Kelvin's poorer displays yesterday. I anticipate the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain will get a look-in and I hope for a relatively strong team to bounce back from the defeat to Plymouth.

He said we're looking to get 2 or 3 players in, today showed him that we struggle without a Lambert type player upfront. I'll start to worry about a lack of goals at the start of September. I can't imagine there would be much discussion had that single shot on target we had (remember Plymouth only had 1...) had gone in.
-
Right we didn't do enough to score, everyone on this forum knows that. We need another striker and a winger, we know that and as does Pardew. We move to the next game, what else do you want??
-
Crosses that flash across the face of goal are chances. A different strikeforce or a slice of luck and we would have been clear winners today.
-
yeah..we did really didn't we..
-
Atleast we didn't spend it in Swedish parks smashing teams 12-0.
-
Molyneux was rubbish.
-
Did he say: "Put the ball in the back of the net" ?
-
Didn't fancy talking about transfers, makes sense as he would have to highlight areas/players that need replacing/competition after a loss. Says Lallana will get time tuesday but only mentions Rickie for saturday.
-
This is like Palace fans basing their opinions of Burley on our views
-
Do let us know when we sign these 8 players, with a pointless thread. Dickson looks like a great player.
-
I would like to see a new winger/striker for Tuesday
-
Yeah Hammond had two headers and a dragged effort IIRC
-
Felt it was one of the few bad performances of Harding i've seen. Hammond seemed the only person with the bottle to shoot.
-
What game were you watching?!
-
Certainly missed Lambert upfront, we need a similar player if he gets a long-term injury during the season. Connolly, Butterfield, Lallana and Dickson looked bright. Was slightly disappointed in Harding (positioning) and Jaidi (hoofing), who failed to clear the goal aswell. With Lambert back we should do the business Tuesday, couple more signings and onwards and upwards.
-
Did Lambert look 50/50 for saturday as his interview today suggests? Or just mind games...
-
To put Bournemouth fans in their place.
-
Still have a feeling Rickie might start, seeing as all the "doubts" as Pardew put it (bar Lallana) came through a full training session yesterday.
-
Exactly this, booked So'ton - Waterloo today for the first week in September. Going up Tuesday coming back Wednesday, £2 total.
