Im pretty sure its nothing to do with the thermostat since the thermostat goes to the digital control box, and if i set the digital control box thingy to HEATING OFF, it's still on, but like you said, could be one of many things. Someones coming out today I think.

Thanks guys, was just on the phone to Eastleighsoulboy so went over this and did the tapping of the valve, which made it start vibrating and humming, but didnt fix anything, so think its time for an engineer

As the thread title says I can call landlord tomorrow but guessing someone wont come out til next week so hoping there something I can do in the meantime. The thermostat is turned to 0C (this is in my hallway). The digital timer for the heating is in the airing cupboard(bathroom) and ive set that to "off", but heating is still on. Only way ive got it to turn off is by turning a dial that has "0 to 5" on it on the boiler (kitchen) to 0 (assuming this is hot water temp?). Anyway, that seems to have killed it, but obviously no hot water once the hot water tank in the airing cupboard goes cold. Any ideas? help!

Fairly easy one this. I used google apps for my invoices, basically create them it the "word" type application then save as PDF. Chuck you company logo at the top, but your address and details at the bottom the on the invoice just make sure you put everything thats relevent, date, invoice number, job, description, cost, then just email them the PDF. Oh little hint, when you email them make the subject of the email the invoice number and person you are invoicing, makes it a lot easy to find these details later.

Yeah theres generally traffic wardens at my kids school too. I drive them each day but have the presence of mind to realise its better to leave 5 minutes earlier, park 500m away and walk the last bit as a) ill always have a parking space and b) i dont get caught in the crush of cars trying to get away from the school after (stoke park infants)

I think I had this once, it was a corrupt install of something that triggered it. It was pretty bloody fatal, even working on the system registry didnt fix it. Really hope you dont have the same thing, cos my only solution was a reinstall. Might sound drastic but did plenty of googling on specifically what was causing my issue
