  1. out of interest, what have you downgraded to?
  2. If I did a 100 miles a day, I'd be bloody feathering it too!
  3. I don't drive economically, I drive normally. I find spending a few extra quid a month much less hassle than having to constantly worry about adopting a driving style that will save me fuel. I average 45mpg on motorways and 40mpg in cities. VW Passat 02. Ive tried "feathering it" loads in a passat, and most I get is around 50mpg, so the user above who gets 70mpg obviously has a different model!
  4. Ended up watching it on live stream in hotel. Not great but at least we saw it.
  5. Exactly. You can pretty much transport whatever seeds you want, and in fact that seeds can even be injected with illegal pesticides, but as long as its not germinated its ok. Mark Thomas did a whole show in it a few years ago.
  6. got any virtual drive software running that would overwrite the drive letter?
  7. Hi, Any saints fans who live in milan know if there is anywhere we can watch the game tomorrow. Seems Everton v Fulham is on at the same so we dont hold out much hope
  8. More fool them
  9. Your proof of this claim?
  10. Why not? It's succeeded where 99.9% of other artists dont, it's got discussed outside for its demographic. We're all raising the profile of the "artist" and no matter how **** she maybe, that will increase sales.
  11. If deppo stuck to the rules that are there to maintain the continuity of threads for everyone that wishes to use the forum, he wouldnt be banned. Remember, infractions are applied gradually, he was well aware that what he was posting was breaking the rules and had plenty of opportunities to stop and limit his brand of humour to the appropriate areas of the forum, but he chose not to.

  13. Have you even tried contacting steve, as I've suggested, many times...
  14. ? I'm not with you
  15. Basically, economics. The wont produce shoes with the correct width and size, you can only buy size. It's easier to knock out generic shoes that are just based on shoes sizes to sell to the masses. Think of it as buying a cheap suit versus (almost) a tailored suit. You need to buy shoes that are correct for your pronation, gait, feet width and lastly, size! Generally what I do is go into Just Run, find the right shoes for me, make sure I get on with them for a few months, then buy a second pair exactly the same over the internet a bit cheaper. I've only had to buy from there twice, but at least you are getting fitted correctly. Also if you still find you are suffering, ASICS do a road show around the country, stops in Alton every now and then. On these road shoes they will put you on a running machine with a video camera and properly assess how you run. For me, this found out that I had one leg longer than the other! Added a spacer to my left shoe, result? 10k 15k runs with now after effects
  16. Then prepare to injure yourself. You absolutely should not be running without proper running shoes. Recommend you dont run again until you have some. I use Just Run in eastleigh
  17. sorry but cost of the shoes is irrelevant. Were you properly fitted or did you just go into a sports shop and say "im size 10"?

Viking, I get the distinct impression that you are only hearing what you want to hear, and in fact are guilty of exactly the thing that you accuse the media of, namely spinning the story to their own gain. I don't think anyone is trying to spin this worse than it already it... it really is this bad. How can you adequately report, for example, an explosion at a nuclear power station to YOUR satisfaction? Earlier in this thread you accused the media of not reporting the effects of this on other locations, in fact when I read that post of yours I was listening to Sky News reporting the effects of the event on the other areas of the pacific rim. It gets your goat up that they report in the glare of lights while everything else is in darkness? I dont get your point, would you prefer it if the camera men didnt carry batteries and lights? Its the medias job to report on events, if you dont like it, you have a choice not watch it. If you want impartiality then just read the AFP website. Save the children are running a fund for the children? Of course they are. You dont like the fact that they are not raising for others? Thats not their mandate, other charities, im sure, (like the international red cross for example) will be doing their own fund raising. And the accusation that the British media are only portraying that the British are helping out is quite frankly a joke, from what Ive watched theyve shown plenty of footage of other nations helping out. I dont get the point of your post, but you obviously have your back up about something else before this event and feel this is a good opportunity to vent that. It isnt.
  19. 18 or 19 isn't completely out of the question... but it's not like that's still going to make it true. Shame tho.

Entirely. Why? How much training do you think the other relief teams have in coping with a nuclear meltdown/explosion? The Ukrainians will be far the most experienced than any other country there. Care to explain why you took issue with my comment now you know why I made it?
  21. Quick google brings up this which says there were none in the Luftwaffe proper... http://helena-schrader.com/luftwaffegallery.html
  22. No we don't, in 1994 we beat QPR 2-1. Get your facts straight before you post stupid comments like that!
  23. Post a broken image? Well, I think they might manage that.
  24. boo. quite like the idea of this story
  25. Awesome article. I knew nothing about it. Knew about the Jap recon balloons but nothing as daring as this! I thought the air to air missile things was ********, until i found this article http://www.luft46.com/missile/x-4.html
