I'm old as well and I really don't get the whole thing, I really don't. What he did, he did in front of literally millions of people, which would indicate to me that he bore absolutely no ill intentions whatsoever. That said I can understand that his actions may have caused the lady some distress, but in the context of what took place I'm struggling to see how he should be cancelled and effectively labelled a sex pest. Dare I say that it appears that 'political correctness' has taken over and this moment of indiscretion means that he had to be hung out to dry. Apologies in advance if my view offends anybody, but as I say, I'm old, so perhaps I'm missing something but essentially I can't understand why a simple apology wasn't sufficient instead of what appeared to me to be a media frenzy intent on destroying this guys career.

Nah, nothings changed...!

Success = promotion, this season. Failure = anything less. The bar set by the club and players, so it's a very high bar, especially so given the start that Leicester and Ipswich have made. Not to sure that possession without purpose will achieve the aim, but from a personal point of view, at least we are winning a few games this season, which obviously is a much better fan experience. If we don't achieve promotion this season, I can see us being in this division for some years.
-
Lot of positives there. Controlled the first half and scored two good goals from good play. Second half had a major wobble, a better team may have pegged us back. Got control back and eventually won the game. KWP is a class above, if we keep him over Christmas we'll have done well, good performances from Downs, Bednarek and Stewart Armstrong. Decent, but if we are serious about promotion, this is a game we should win.
-
We're playing 'Wayne Rooney's Birmingham' who are in disarray, if VAR was in use we could be all square at one all. So decent for now, let's see how the second half lands out.
-
Decent so far, no more than that. If we come out second half and add to it, should be a good result, however we always have a 'brainfart from anybody' not far away, which could let them back in. Priorities for second half, clean sheet, more goals.
-
Other than KWP's goal we were garbage. We got a lucky point that we patently didn't deserve. Awful football, really lucky result.

This. It was pretty even upto about 80 minutes, had Hull taken their chances we could've been chasing the game. But we came strong in the last 15 and probably just about deserved to nick it, decent finish by Ryan who had the foresight to come off the line and get central for the last attack. It's tight at the top, so need to keep the wins going, for now, satisfied more than overwhelmed.

Sad news, Bobby Charlton has passed away, real great player. RIP.

Agree, but I don't just think it's our mentality, but also largely our ability as well. Other than KWP, we are not very good.

I'm somewhat confused by RM's 'it takes time' argument. This is football, every single manager knows that the one thing they probably won't get is time...! They'll get the best of all the other resources that professional football demands, but time is the one thing very few managers get. We all know this is a results based industry, it's all about here and now, and right now we are performing below par. We need significant improvement to get the results to get us up the table, simple as. That is the only thing that is going to buy RM time.
-
Absolutely no one is suicidal about the performance, not one poster as far as I can see. However many are rightly disappointed with the result and rightly hacked of with the tactics and substitutions. The rhetoric from the club and players for this season was that nothing short of promotion would be acceptable, that was the clear aim. We plainly can't compete with the likes of Leicester or Ipswich, and here we are today failing to beat the divisions whipping boys at home. Fans will rightly vent, but no one is suicidal.

Can you imagine this lot representing us in that derby? There is no affiliation to Southampton, they'd shit themselves and crumble. Not something I am looking forwards to at all.
-
We'll not be far behind at this rate, we are woeful.
-
And that is why there is no chance that we will get promoted. I don't really do stats, can't understand them, but the half time stats on the stream that I was watching basically said we had wiped the floor with them in every department, except one. If you don't score goals, you don't win game, it's not fucking rocket science, will somebody please tell this buffon of a manager. Some of the players looked to me that they believe in their own hype, job was done at one nil. How fucking stupid can you get, once they had equalized we never had a clue what to do. As for the subs, I have no idea why Stu or Sulamana were taken off, no idea what he was doing. We are now miles off the top because this manager has no idea how to get the best from a squad that is one of the best in this division. Woeful tactics, led to a woeful result.
-
A good win to nil should be the first two objectives. Do that and some of the RM doubters (myself included) may start to believe that he can turn this around and at least get us to the playoffs. A home win at the very least, anything less will be very disappointing.
-
Made bloody hard work of that, again lots of possession, not a lot of end product. Only positives, the free kick, a clean sheet at last. Onwards and upwards I guess.
-
Need better this half, turn possession and performance into goals, Stoke aren't done they are still well in the game.
-
Yep, was at that one, we had some proper players back then. Good game, Crouchie came on as a sub and got sent off if I remember correctly. Oh to have that level of players again.
-
Bollux to that, go large, get them both in, old school dream team...! Back to basics, back to blood, sweat and tears training and traditional tactics on matchdays...! What's not to like.
-
Whether other fans are laughing or not (the blue few will be) is largely irrelevant, BUT the fact remains that as pointed out by the OP this club has been serving up dire football for years, and I mean years. Some of the lowlights listed above are truly fucking embarrassing, when your paying premium prices to watch you're entitled to expect at least some quality now and again, but we have been woeful for a long, long time. Players, managers and board members come and go, most seem not to give a fuck, the only constant are the fans who frankly have remained really supportive in the face of so many awful performances and results.
-
It's absolutely nothing to do with my psyche, neither am I entitled, arrogant or thick as fuck, I just have no idea what on earth he is rambling about. None of the responses he gives makes any sense, why not just come out and admit that there are problems instead of constantly saying the mood in the ground changes, and the players confidence drops when we go behind. Those things probably happen because the fans know, and the players know that we will struggle to get back into the game playing the way we do. Nothing to do with psyche, everything to do with form and tactics.
-
I've just watched half of RMs press conference for this game, I have no fucking idea what the hell he was talking about, not a clue.
-
Because of the manner of the defeats, style of play and tactics that this manager insists on. We were absolutely hammered in two of the games and then failed to get back into a 1 nil at home! That would suggest that not only are we woeful at the back, but we are similarly so up top as well. We are heading one way, and one way only...!
-
Leicester looked very good tonight, they week be there or there abouts come the end of the season. They are good at the back, good on the break and can score goals. Basically they can do all the things we can't, looked good when they played out from the back and controlled the game once in front.
