I must have missed the 'broken leg' incident if that's the case...!
-
Sorry derry - I never saw it - missed the first 30 minutes (damn kids birthday parties...!!) - so I will bow to your better judgement. What I saw of the officiating, I thought was pretty much ok, I certainly don't see how people are blaming the officials for a game which we lost one nil when most are agreeing that Kelvin was MOTM.
-
Straw clutching thread - the ref cost us nothing today. In fact he and his team made decisions that kept our team in with a shout today (admittedly right ones - but still easy to get wrong). We unfortunately were unable to capitalise on this - but that is hardly the refs fault. No he wasn't the best ref - but he was hardly the worst ref I have seen. They talk about 'big decisions' in games - they are the ones that refs have to get right, there were four of those in this game - and personally I think he got them all right. We got beat - look closer to home if you want to apportion blame - not the officials.

I can't beleive that people want to blame the officials...!! That poor imitation of officiating the bloke in the middle is the same bloke (along with his fellow officials) who stopped us getting trounced 4 nil - by making the right decisions. As for the penalty, I accept that you were there and I was not, however - the first time I saw it I thought it was a 'stone waller', Sky replayed it and it was still a 'stone waller', they then replayed it again - and strangly it was still a 'stone waller'. If that happened in our box and he didn't give it - I would love to see your argument then. We had an off day, the lads tried hard, but go look at the MOTM thread - you only have to see the 'by a mile' leader to see that we never turned up at the races today. Let's take it in good grace eh - put your hands up to Blackpool - but lets not blame the officials.

Perhaps, maybe, could be, who knows - other than Adam?
-
Great news indeed, but have to agree with nick - contracts in this day and age mean absolutely zilch in term of keeping players at clubs. If offers come in they will be considered - simple business practice. The only thing that will keep Adam at the club is Adam, lets hope that he is in the Le Tiss mould both in terms of ability and commitment to the club.

Sad, but true. Ultimately in this high tech multimedia world that we now live in, getting the 'scoop' first is the ultimate aim for most journos. The fact that much 'detail' will be lost in translation is neither here nor there. He who publishes first is King and damn the detail.

I've never been to a Brides Convention - how huffy do they get...???
-
My guess would be that he was there to check out our 'total football' system, probably wants 'Keano' to adopt it up there at Sunderland...!
-
Agreed - must be a 'slow day' for the journo's today - not a lot of news out there. (Edit - Having said that and just read a further report, given that the driver of the car, one of Micks colleagues, sadly died at the scene then I guess they are correct in using the term 'serious road crash'. However the headline is still somewhat out of context.) As for Mick - he's probably taken harder knocks on the field during his day, no worries - he'll be fit for the next game...
-
That big - really - always looks a bit of a short ass to me - perhaps he's just got short legs...!!!!
-
Don't mind so long as it is at SMS - Derby anybody...???
-
Gillett may only be five four - but height (or lack of it) means nothing if you have the skill and ability. Michael Owen is no giant - but in his heyday he was pretty awesome too...
-
Trust you....!!!!

Saying that our fans should not be giving KP a hard time coz he was a quality striker for us.. Saying that Brum haven't played tonite... excuses or what They sound bloody suicidal..... Brum don't care about the cup... Southampton probably aren't going to do anything in the league, whereas no doubt brum will 'walk it'.... 'uck me... one just said 'fair result' - there is a god...!!!
-
Get in Adammmmmmm.......
-
Relax - I think you'll find it was Ridgewell, you need to adjust that 'coat hanger' of an aerial that you are using...!!
-
Phew....!!!! Brum close....
-
From what I've just heard - yes he is being booed...!!!
-
Anybody know what the attendance is yet...???
-
Just tried again - but still not working - somewhat frustrating. Perhaps my avatar is somewhat apt in the cirmcumstances...!!

Ahhhh how refreshing - a thread entitled 'Jan issues wake-up call' degenerates into yet another 'Burley out' thread - same old suspects, same old arguments, same old counter arguments, same old outcome, same old,...... everything really. He's gone - left the building, moved on, perhaps others should follow suit. Now, what was the title on this thread again....????
-
Nope - still doesn't seem to work - I wonder if some people are looking at cached pages. Very strange that some can access whilst other can't, not too sure that this would be a 'demand' related issue either. I'll try again later.

I'm afraid to say that neither link works for me either - I get the holding page from GoDaddy.com. There appears to be some technical issues afoot...!
