  1. Gillett may only be five four - but height (or lack of it) means nothing if you have the skill and ability. Michael Owen is no giant - but in his heyday he was pretty awesome too...
  2. Trust you....!!!!
  3. Saying that our fans should not be giving KP a hard time coz he was a quality striker for us.. Saying that Brum haven't played tonite... excuses or what They sound bloody suicidal..... Brum don't care about the cup... Southampton probably aren't going to do anything in the league, whereas no doubt brum will 'walk it'.... 'uck me... one just said 'fair result' - there is a god...!!!
  4. Get in Adammmmmmm.......
  5. Relax - I think you'll find it was Ridgewell, you need to adjust that 'coat hanger' of an aerial that you are using...!!
  6. Phew....!!!! Brum close....
  7. From what I've just heard - yes he is being booed...!!!
  8. Anybody know what the attendance is yet...???
  9. Just tried again - but still not working - somewhat frustrating. Perhaps my avatar is somewhat apt in the cirmcumstances...!!

  11. Ahhhh how refreshing - a thread entitled 'Jan issues wake-up call' degenerates into yet another 'Burley out' thread - same old suspects, same old arguments, same old counter arguments, same old outcome, same old,...... everything really. He's gone - left the building, moved on, perhaps others should follow suit. Now, what was the title on this thread again....????
  12. Nope - still doesn't seem to work - I wonder if some people are looking at cached pages. Very strange that some can access whilst other can't, not too sure that this would be a 'demand' related issue either. I'll try again later.
  13. I'm afraid to say that neither link works for me either - I get the holding page from GoDaddy.com. There appears to be some technical issues afoot...!
  14. Wow, whole lotta glues, resins and toxics there - were you a 'sniffer'...??? Would explain some of your more spurious posts if so....
  15. Rarely do I leap to the defence of AS and his somewhat negative opinions - and I'm not about to start now. (I'll take the points Baj..!) However, if you actually read the post all AS has done is pose two questions based on his interpretation of certain situations - no more no less. He has not actually given his own opinion - simply asked for other peoples thoughts on the the questions that he raised, therefore stimulating debate and discussion about relevant issues. I have crossed swords with him before, I will again no doubt - but I see little to berate him for over this thread. (Supporting AS - I need to lie down..!!) For my own part - I'm in agreement with Phil - I think that at the start of the RL JP negotiations the 'bottom line' would have been clearly discussed. Budget, stick to it, get on with the job - difficult I know - but we are in difficult times
  16. Good point well made. Possibly I do only have the energy to take an interest in the 'on field' side of supporting the club. If I use my 'imagination' I could become embroiled in the endless boardroom threads - but then, like many on here, my views would be borne of 'imagination' and very little fact. Capable of both yes, but prefer to live in the real world, accept the club is currently in a sorry state that dictates a transitional period to try to get it on an even keel.
  17. 2 - 1 Derby - but things will get better from here on...
  18. I wish him all the best - he did a job for us and did it well. Had to laugh yesterday though when Adrian Durham was talking about his move to Stoke on TalkSport - he made one of his many derogatory snipes in saying that 'Andrew Davies wouldn't be able to save Stoke from relegation as he wasn't very good - thats why he played for Saints'. I just wondered how his show co-host felt about the comment - Ian Wright...!!!
  19. Unreserved apologies - I'll get my ass down to Specsavers before I make any more smart assed comments in future...!!!
  20. Is this the new 'should of gone to Specsavers' ad....!!!!
  21. Holy shyte... 2 games... lets all knee jerk togeather, might start a trend....
  22. Shhhhhhh Alpines around - you'll get a severe reprimand for hoping for a little luck to get you a result you know..!!! I know this from bitter experience...
  23. Agreed they are not - but as fans we can either continue to vent our fury at the boardroom and management, or support the team on the field who up to now appear to be trying their hardest to get results - I know which I prefer to put my efforts into.
  24. Agree with the bit about publicly expressing their 'love' for the club, but is that any different to players who 'kiss the badge' - probably not. Your rationale for forming a consortium is probably about right, however even if they have 'borrowing power' they still have to have collateral in case it all goes belly up - therefore the risk still exists. As for Binmen and City chaps, right now I think we have more chance of putting together a consortium of binmen than City chaps, but how much are you able to borrow against 3 clapped out, council owned bin trucks...!
  25. I've gushed about nothing - simply pointed out that in the two games we have played to date we have played well and done anything but bombed. As for similarities between the Gray and Wigley era and now, I see none. They worked with our 'older pro' players, playing conventional systems, whilst the new team have worked with the kids on a completely different system of play. Only similarities thus far is that they coached footballers. I think your argument is with Lowe - but he is here whether we like it or not. Yes he is probably pulling strings that should be left to management. But at the end of the day, he sees the bank balance sheet daily and has to make judgement on how to get the club 'back into the black'. If you can find a 'sugar daddy' ready to stump up a lump of cash then bring him on, personally I can't see it happening. However, we as fans should be supporting the team - the boardroom problems hold little interest for me.
