A certain paper (the rag that is the Maily Dail) suggests spurs capture of Toby came about because Tottenham saw us as weak and vulnerable & ready to be raided, & suggest this sends out the message that not only are our better players ripe for plucking that even our transfers can easily be high-jacked as we are a weak unfashionable club that can do nowt about it! Is this pretty much how it is? Is this the message we are sending to other clubs?

Clyne is the real sickener an absolute bargain when you think we paid 12 million for Shane Long! I know who id rather have, that said i know he only had a year left on his contract and he strung us along for a while so he had a plan B

er no.......... I can confirm that, I did say he deserves a chance like any player we sign & koeman obviously knows better than us but here's some of the comments: "Im a fc twente fan.. but this is a big mistake of Southampton, he is a very very bad player!! bit worried about this signing even fans of his own club aren't sorry to see him go the words "a very bad player" & "makes lots of mistakes" are a few of the comments........... still we haven't even seen him play yet, it doesn't look too promising though

that is true I'm sure the club are offering the most they can afford to pay to him and its up to him at the end of the day he may decide its better to be at a smaller closer knit club then a so called "big club" but usually they end up at wherever pays the most wages

Can we not replace like for like or as a club do we always look for the cheapest option & hope it pays off?
