would anyone take moyes?
-
Exactly, some think Redknapp is high calibre, The way this has come about when everyone knew he was off and the extended dragging out of contract talks and lies from the club was farcical, I have no faith that ralph has any clue in football and will appoint a worthy replacement, we'll probably have an ice hockey manager too!
-
the whole defence will fall apart without this man, fonte aside he is the defence!!! surely we wouldn't be stupid enough to sell?
-
Most on here probably wouldn't but id take moyes, tough time at united but one poor (but only by man uniteds standards) season doesn't make a bad manager. Would he see us as a big enough club though after being at the biggest?

Cortese speaking to BBC for first time since leaving Saints

Subtext But if "the price is right" we are willing -
for better or worse cortese had grand ambitions for the club whether or not we would have ever reached the level he was aiming for ie champions league etc we will never know but you have to admire his drive! is it better to aim high and fail then to settle for mid table mediocrity? or does it really not matter where saints are in the table? I guess it all balances out as yes he made some bad decisions but overall you'd have to admit hes been one of if not our most successful chairmen

"Southampton's new chairman says that key players will not be sold to pay off club debts" whats that in your language? -
absolutely I would want him back, its better the devil you know (unless that devil is named Rupert!!!), who cares if he was frosty with the media and a controlling diva, he got results and people were beginning to respect sfc again. Now we are left in uncertainty and kreuger can talk the talk but can he walk the walk
-
I know we have no idea if he is indeed a wreck it ralph but we definitely have to use that nickname if he turns out to be so

My guess is that's the casualties, it makes sense and is the most likely
-
He will strike just like kenwyne Jones, you can bet your money on it!!!

Generally agree with this unfortunately Southampton has always been a club known for nurturing young talent and selling it on at profit, its how we survive but its dam frustrating, just as we have assembled probably the best squad we've had in a long time (apart from upfront, looking very thin there at the moment) jrod is good enough, osvaldo a dsisater, ricky still very valuable player to us but the wrong side of 30. Saying that why sell players when we have the 90 million for finishing eighth?
-
You seriously think we're not going to sell a single player?
-
TBF though this is a little sensationalist and harsh, Glasgow has some key points here, mopo hasn't shown any affinity to the club or fans and I cant say I've warmed to him that's not to say he doesn't have skill as a Manager he clearly has but I don't feel has enough about him to be classed as "irreplaceable" you cant really argue with point 7 either his style is all or nothing in the hard pressing game with no real Plan B when it doesnt work. We were always going to be a stepping stone for him & you can't really blame the man for that I guess
-
People need to consider it takes years for a squad to bond well with each other and want to play as a team not individuals, if we sell the backbone of out team i.e Lallana, Shaw, Lovren, Jrod, etc we will never be the same again any time soon! its total madness to sell more than two key players from our squad
-
should we not be sponsored by kit kat?
-
do we get that 82 million as a lump sum?
-
I guess its that balance of maintaining financial stability and club tradition while giving the fans something to be proud of and some exciting football, you could argue we have done both this season the only sour taste is that we were for a while in a strong position not to sell our best players, now suddenly under Katherina we are set to sell some of our best assets, could this be down to the abysmal signings of osvaldo and Ramirez are we paying the price for bad transfer judgement?
-
Do you believe Katherina has the clubs best interests at heart or do you think she is merely looking to sell her inheritance at a profit? (can we blame her for this?) Do you support her decisions so far? and Do you think she has any interest in the club outside a business one?
-
if katherine has "made it clear the club must pay its own way" that surely = She won't be providing any future investment, so where do we go from that?
-
same old story can't keep hold of our best players!
