We basically are in a situation where we need a whole new defence with the exception of clyne (who I know has made mistakes) none of them are premiership level including the keeper! You simply have to ask questions as to why Adkins and the board deemed they could hold their own in the best league in the world. It's a catastrophic error and worse it's to late to repair it. Confidence is rock bottom as even the players no they aren't good enough to cope with the pace and precision of premiership strikers. Do we have the confidence now in our tank to believe we can get a result against villa we desperately need to steady the ship

What about the worrying statistics he mentioned? Ie that no promoted club has ever stayed up that has lost the first four games! And not just last season either. Those who thought are season started after the first four games are in denial twelve points lost is massive lose the next two and we are effectively gone. I thinks he's a top bloke like the rest of us but the fact is he's just not agile enough at this level he's a terrific shot stopper but that's about it. His distribution is truly shocking how many times does he hoof it straight out of play or a miss cued hit straight to an attacker? we hardly over see him through the ball to a defender to play out from the back as most top keepers do he just seems to panic and hoof it anywhere even when under no pressure. Why is this?

It's a funny game the same people that are saying stick with Adkins no matter what will be demanding an inquest if cortese sticks with him till the bitter end and doesn't bring someone in when he had the chance.
