I agree, I only suggested Henderson as A temporary care-taker appointment if needed but yes we need to get the next appointment right its absolutely crucial! and who have we entrusted the power to?
-
If I was the duck hunter (shudder) I would be getting rid of Jan with immediate effect from the end of today. Jan has my sympathy but in all honesty he shouldn't have accepted the job, cant blame him though. This gives us nearly a couple of weeks to get the man who best suits the task of keeping us up, somone with a track record of what it takes to survive in this league and they would have to be skilled in 'player motivation' god knows we could do with that! The question is would Lord Lowe know the right candidate if it bit him on the arse? My guess is we could end up with an even cheaper option as there will be nothing in the cofffers if we have to pay off Jan. I would probably appoint stuart henderson as care-taker manager to be honest he knows most of the players really well. However I dont think this meeting will end with Jan gone sadly, I think the norwich game will decide his future. You would think that if Jan goes Lowe has to aswell but we all know he won't be doing that!
-
whoa seven people want him to stay! I laugh in your face In the nicest way possible of course
-
Different periods as in different lengths in charge, as in you can't compare someone who had three months in charge with the record of somone who had a year and a half etc
-
also its not very relevant because all managers were at the club for different periods
-
there must be some mistake burley is the best and poorvliet isn't the worst......... never
-
Its so disheartening being able to see who and what the problem is but not being able to do a thing about it other than watch the spirit of southampton set sail on a one way voyage. People said the last four or five years have been our worse time as supporters well its nothing compared to the effects dropping out of this division and the subsequent administration will bring. I am 100% convinced we are down unless action is taken before the norwich game there is no time to wait.
-
I would start preparing yourself for the inevitable drop to league one and likely administration. That way if it happens it will lessen the heart-break and if by some miracle it doesn't you can party like a fooker!

only 20 posts though, you have to wonder -
theres plenty of other managers getting results with teams consisting of mainly young players
-
out of inetest do you think Jan knows himself now that he isn't up to the job?
-
because he is Lowes puppet and rupes likes playing with puppets
-
I particularly like this quote from the dutch wonder “We were all hoping we would win this one but we didn’t do it. There was a big pressure on the boys and it will stay like that, because to win you need to score goals.” Have you heard of this new concept that you need to score goals to win?

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4056906.Fans_revolt_but_Jan_understands_why/ Jan is still insisting we played a reasonable game and seems to be suggesting that fan anger was unjustified. thoughts?...................

was that a joke?
-
Lowe has no plan B just as Poorvliet has no plan B, we could lose all of our remaining games and he will still be here, Lowe isn't going to back down imo
-
I agree with them but at the end of the day it achieves nothing. Lowe won't be going anywhere sadly
-
Look everybody i gone and caught me one of those darn PR critters, nasty little bugger
-
Can i remind everyone that Lowe is the best thing to have ever happened to the club the guy is a both a football and business genius and has my utmost respect, anyone who can introduce catering of such quality deserves to be at the club for many years to come
-
true aint gonna happen though
-
He didn't publically admit anything though you know that surely? or do you remember him standing up and saying 'Sorry guys I got it totally wrong this was a terrible appointment that seriously put the club in jeopardy, you have my sincere apologies" did he fook it was the usual 'Mutual Decision'
-
He hadn't hyped them to the max with how his decision would revolutionize the football word, bringing total football to the masses though!
-
Have you already come to terms with the fact that were going down I think i have
-
Yet Lowe is still going to defend his decision.............. but how can he?
