Have to say it's early days but not impressed with how still sets a team up its verging on Martin mk2 he (and the players) need to improve fast

It's not been the greatest start that's for sure, however he has lost pretty much our best players and the new additions haven't had time to settle in and gel let's see where he's at in a months time

A seven point gap already we would have been somewhere up there had we not lost at least four/five points from games we should have won but that's life

Our results may be okayish under still but our overall performances certainly aren't

Till we get a class striker (hopefully with experience at a higher level) that's capable of 15-20 plus goals we are going to struggle, our strikers simply aren't good enough!.

We will no doubt see the huge gulf in class between a team that got comfortably relegated and one that finished comfortably in the top 10 of the premier league, hopefully we can see what potential some of the new signings have and it's not too embarrassing

The only possible reason I can think for Stephen's staying is that WS thinks he can improve our players but only players that really want to play for Southampton.... That said jack Stephens should be backup not anywhere near the starting team! If he starts then I'm not convinced WS is a good judge of our players
