  1. Frustrating that Fulham scored. Ruined potential 'THREE-OH WALCOTT' headlines.
  2. From what I've seen, the former. Personal gate and arrival time details should be defined when the tickets are released.
  3. Looks like they've completely cocked up the ticket sales this morning. Leeds match was showing as available to buy when I logged in at 09.25, but it wouldn't allow you to process the order. Since 09.30, the site's been intermittently flicking between 'Service unavailable' messages and successfully showing your account... But without the option for the tickets. Ahhh, it's good to be back...
  4. Team averaging 0.8 points per game in 'not going on a 4-match winning spree' shocker. Had somebody insisting to me on Saturday that Fulham had a good chance of winning the lot - and utterly convinced we'd not see another point. The bookies lengthening us to between 150/1 and 250/1 might have been a clue. Unacceptable second half of the season, but it's done now. Time to pick through this sorry mess of a squad; hopefully we can fashion something more coherent for 21-22.
  5. 14 goals in 14 for Iheanacho.
  6. If they were ever upheld. Seems a timely reminder that it's all simply a way to market the club.
  7. So did the Commercial team essentially fail to find a replacement, or have our much-touted 'club values' changed in the past 12 months?
  8. Think the reason it's that simple is due to the credit already having been applied to everyone's accounts. Even before taking any action, if you log in you'll see it's there. It's only if you wish to take up the refund that there's more to do - because they'll be manually removing the credit and processing it back as a lump-sum refund.
  9. Specious reasoning.
  10. Half of this quote was pieced together from a series of tweets by Halsey in 2016. Now seemingly deleted, but a little bit of sleuthing turns up the URLs of at least a couple of them. 🕵️ https://twitter.com/RefereeHalsey/status/771628305954975744 https://twitter.com/RefereeHalsey/status/771996466336456704 Interestingly the first of those tweets was still active as of yesterday - saw it with my own eyes. At that time, both could be accessed via the Wayback Machine (as I was going to post roughly this response on yesterday's conspiracy thread, where that image was posted - and somebody claimed it was a fake attribution). That may tie into the 'gagging' narrative. Or perhaps somebody has just had 'a word' since this has resurfaced. The second half of the quote was indeed falsified though, as reported in this article.
  11. 100% this. I just don't feel fully engaged watching it. I don't want to miss any of our games, but feel increasingly disconnected from what I'm seeing. Even with that Leicester match, give me attendance person - with inclement weather swirling round the bowl of the stadium - but actually living through it. Even with the VAR decisions going against us, I'd prefer to be within a throng of thousands of our own, vocally and animatedly protesting. And that's why I can't comprehend choosing to solely watch at home as a fan, given the choice and means.
  12. Correct. He addressed this on The Peter Crouch Podcast. As much as I'd love to say it's evidence of corruption, he's done it quite a few times (in various matches) after giving advantages that lead directly to goals.
  13. Waterlooville, so close enough. My brother dated his daughter, circa 2010. The Styles lived in Denmead at the time. #pointlessITK
  14. Fear for the sanity of anybody that'd genuinely want him gone. He's wrung every last drop out of what he's been given. Goodness only knows where we'd be without him. Apart from anything else I can't see there's anybody available that'd be able to do more with the hellish wage structure we're still having to clear down.

    Cheers, appreciate the response.

Has anybody been able to compare one of the unbranded/Sportsbet.io shirts to the Under Armour/LD Sports version? Looking to buy one or t'other as a present, and whilst I'm sure they'd prefer the up-to-date version, I'm half envisaging it being a Rupert Lowe-era special in terms of the quality.
  17. Had to look up the exact date, but it was 28th October 1995. We hosted Wimbledon, winning 2-0 - with both goals coming from Neil Shipperley. Being a nipper I usually only got to follow the games on Teletext (or via highlights on South Today), and came away thinking that Shipperley must be amazing. Couldn't tell you anything about the game, but distinctly remember the crowd chanting his name as we poured out to the streets. Funny what the brain holds onto.
  18. Called it. 😏 Simply makes far more sense. Regardless of the argument over whether they should've sold season tickets in the first place, I commend them for adjusting the plan. The original was clearly no longer fit for purpose.
  19. Just 3 goals conceded from the start of December to now, covering 7 matches. Yes, we've had spells of being a bit goal-shy throughout that time, but mightily impressive considering we've faced City and Liverpool. Rest of the month doesn't look so initimidating now.
  20. Haven't really been following my refunds, but given the travails experienced by many that are, thought I'd have a quick tally up. I've not received anything back from the club since 3rd November, where I was refunded two payments of 2 tickets on the same day. Assuming that was an intentional lump of 4 refunds, I've had 6 refunds in total from the 8 home games we've played. So Sheffield United (13/12) and Man City (19/12) outstanding. It'd be a clusterfuck for even a well-drilled organisation to manually process all of this, so can't even feign surprise that they're struggling. They'd be significantly better off flipping the workload 'round - refund the remainder of all STs now, and process per-match payments as-and-when people get to attend. Assuming anybody actually does get to before the end of the season. We know people from the club are monitoring this... Make your lives easier... 👀
  21. We ask for a lot of different dimensions from our midfielders - look at how rounded Ward-Prowse has become, for one. Hojbjerg is insanely good at turning over possession - probably the best in the entire division. But such a limited player beyond that. It was a moneyball signing for Spurs, as they're asking him to almost single-purposedly fulfill that role - permitting far more freedom to the rest of their midfield. I guess it's not dissimilar to when we had Schneiderlin and Wanyama as enforcers (albeit Morgan became more of a box-to-box player with time).
  22. Can't agree that an issue has to be novel to be worthy of highlighting. Can only speak for myself, of course, but I've been exposed to an awful lot of information and insight in 2020 that I wasn't previously privy to. No, surface-deep messaging alone doesn't affect change - but there's value in attempting to open a dialogue and keep it in the public consciousness. What doesn't help it go beyond the first step is when you have one person saying "This isn't fine", or " I'm not OK" and another sticking their fingers in their ears and saying "Everything is fine! We're relatively tolerant, us! Let it be." How do you make any meaningful progress when that's the case? Nothing will move to policy-level (taking your example, hitting the root cause of violent crime) if nobody can admit there's problems in the first place. Representation is proof that not everybody in football is racist. I'm not convinced it's a useful barometer beyond that, and it's certainly not a nuanced or definitive indication. Has it gone on for long enough? I'm still struggling to see how we're to judge that.
  23. So are we effectively stating that there isn't enough racism (or great enough systemic imbalance) to justify the messaging? I'm just not sure we're in the position to judge that.
  24. There seems to be a common theme running through this thread of "we must listen to the motivations of the Millwall fans" (which I wholeheartedly agree with), whilst in virtually the same breath stating "I don't want to see or hear about this gesture any more - time to end it". Is that not quite problematic and hypocritical in itself? Burying it may be convenient, but does nothing to address the root cause. Pointing towards Kick It Out and the status quo ante is reductive. Clearly it wasn't effective enough, else we wouldn't be having these conversations.
  25. Hmm. Broadly I'm fine with a weighted ballot. But having approx. 12% of the 2,000 'capacity' fixed for the first game (likely a higher percentage if you consider the 2,000 is lowered by hospitality) seems a lot. Think I've had my season ticket for a decade now (essentially as soon as I could afford it after getting my first 'proper' job). And whilst I don't expect to be in some mega-special category for that, it feels a pretty hefty disparity in favour of the super fans. Ultimately there'll always be people 'losing out' with such a low attendance cap. But my main point is that if they're intending to rotate through ST holders as often as possible, having a high percentage of fixed allocations doesn't help that goal.
