  1. That is an absolute blinder in anyone's books - Zlatan would have been proud of that
  2. Provide that evidence please.
  3. KWP is surely a good model for this too. Only an inch taller than Armstrong, but looks like he works on his physique and regularly out-muscles, holds off or turns players much bigger than he is. Lamptey at Brighton as well.
  4. Totally. That's why it seems odd that no-one appears to have worked on that with him. Height and frame are obviously what you're born with, but given that being short doesn't have to mean being skinny too - especially if you're a professional elite sportsman surrounded by facilities and conditioning coaches all day - you'd think that they would have helped him improve his bulk and upper body strength a bit by now. He still looks the same size and shape as he was when he first arrived. Maybe it's a deliberate thing, but if so I'd be interested to understand the thinking behind it.
  5. One thing that’s really noticeable in that video is how physically slight Adam Armstrong looks compared to the other players when they’re talking to him in those interview segments. It’s not meant as an insult, but his natural build means he looks like a child surrounded by men there. Given what an important attribute physical strength is to help create space and opportunities for a forward, he really looks like he needs to bulk up a bit.
  6. Was making Bednarek captain for that game an indicator of anything, or not?
  7. Except of course that that’s been directly contradicted by someone with actual knowledge of the situation, which makes your statement objectively wrong.
  8. Two Wrights very definitely make a wrong 😱
  9. Two wrongs don't make a right, Matthew. Now go and sit in the corner and think about what you've done. And stop telling tales.
  10. Who is this Lingaard person, Matthew? I’ve heard of Lingard, but not Lingaard. Who is he? Can you explain who this player is please, citing sources?
  11. Sekou Mara video:
  12. Greta Thunberg’s let herself go
  13. Jesus, don’t encourage him
  14. Isn’t it just likely that because we were utter dog shit for the final third of the season, losing 10 of our last 13 league games, he just looked around him and thought ‘yeah, I can be part of a much better team than this’?
  15. Yeah and there was also that godawful advert on Power FM with some load of twats singing a cringeworthy song about the spirit of Southampton
  16. Tony Cascarino. We thought we'd got him, only for him to change his mind and sign for Celtic at the last minute. Which in turn inspired an Ugly Inside cover and headline 'Cascarino opts for Celtic' above a picture of one of these:
  17. If we play our cards right in the negotiations I think we could make KWP the game's first billion pound player
  18. Yep. Pretty sure the reason he’s wearing that shirt is that Djenepo is a fellow Malian and they’re probably mates. Every report and search result says Palace. Would be nice to be wrong though.
  19. Exciting. Anyone know the logic behind such a low fee if he’s considered to have this much potential? 9-10m seems like nothing in this market. Did he only have a year left?
  20. Bazunu - ooowaaooh Bazunu - ooowaaooh He came from Man City He f*ckin hates Pompey There you go, you can have that for free. Do I win a prize?
  21. Stekelenburg was an odd one. If it looked one he should save, he did. If you thought ‘that’ll probably go in’, it did. Can’t remember him making a single memorable save, but can’t remember any real errors either. Never won us games, never lost us them. Wasn’t particularly great or particularly poor at crosses, coming off his line, distribution or organisation. Just a 6.5/10 every week, like a pot of grey paint wearing gloves.
  22. If wasting money gets you a striker who scores 19 goals a season, then I for one hope we waste some more before August.
  23. I think you’ll find it’s spelt Le Havre. Honestly, don’t you check these things?
  24. Fun fact: in 2005-06 season we had eight keepers on the books - Niemi, Bialkowski, Miller, Smith, Blayney, Poke, Andrew MacNeil and Zak Jones.
