  1. Glenn Roeder seems to be a tad unhappy with his lot. Now they were arse! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7711456.stm
  2. Wolves are top of the CCC at the moment and therefore he must be doing something right. Personally I agree with an earlier poster as he looked ropey against Wales. However I'm not sure if he was the regular CB in all the other England U21 games where England only conceded one goal (IIRC). If he was then he's there on merit.
  3. Great applause from the fans as the players go off. Standing ovation apparently with a few boos for the ref. We need to show the second half passion and desire for the rest of the season. we will come good. COYR.
  4. I'm fairly sure Lee Mason has referreed in the Prem. They tend to flash the cards about when they drop a division again.
  5. ...........so are we!
  6. ----------------------- Davis ---------------------- Cork ------- Perry -------- Pearce -------- Skacel ---------- Schneiderlin ------ Euell ----------------- -Lallana ------------------------------------Surman- ---------------BWP--------------------------------- -------------------------McGoldrick ----------------- Subs: Forecast, James, Lancashire/Wotton, Robertson, Gobern. Means another change of the back four I know. Lallana and BWP to move around though someone will need to cover Kightly who, I believe, plays wide left for Wolves.
  7. I bet every day is like Christmas Day in your house!
  8. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3641 Mentioned in this thread while playing for the stiffs v Brighton
  9. Is he still eligible for the U21's? He only really played a peripheral part anyway so may well have been one of the ones cut adrift by Pearce. Drew does seem to be playing better in the middle though. PS Well done to Adam & Jack and by the sounds of it they'll get a game against the Czechs as it's a friendly.
  10. 27. He has just eaten my last Rolo
  11. Beat Wolves. Lose to Reading.
  12. Once again I am shocked at the level of hatred for Rupert Lowe in this thread and many others. I cannot believe how many fans have refused to return to St. Mary's while he is control. I read this yesterday and thought straight away how come this woman can have such dignity in a tragedy yet there is such venomous hatred in some posts on this site. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/suffolk/7719625.stm This sentence in particular: - "We're trying hard not to hate Luke McCormick at the moment, but people like David Norris are making it very difficult to do that." If some on here can say they despise Lowe while this woman, who has had her two children taken from her, cannot hate then it is a very sad day indeed.
  13. One who happens to be very cheap and out of work Like Jermaine Wright & Darren Powell?
  14. Would any new manager bring a whole lot of new players with him? Or would he just have to motivate, tinker with formations and style with the players we have now? Frustrated as I am with this season so far it was always going to be a one step forward two steps back season. I don't think changing the manager now will change the outcome come May. It hasn't worked for us in the past.
  15. Hmmm this thread has a post from Dalek2003 written all over it.
  16. I thought they played Et'o in that role with Henry and Messi either side. But that would never work, eh?
  17. Can you guarantee that 4-4-2 will bring us wins every game? Will our goal differnce improve or just stay the same? To me I think we should persevere with Jans formation as the more the players get used with the formation the more we'll slice the opposition to pieces in the future
  18. Once again you have a positive stance on this although possibly the club have had that many cost cutting measures placed upon them that that this line of thinking (putting it in the hands of either ebay or an ex-serviceman) has not occurred to them? If the club recognises today that things could be different then maybe next year things will be different?
  19. Oddly enough I think this fella will make all the difference when he rejoins the team. With Surman in the middle alongside Spiderman and Rudi at left back i believe we can be a real threat with Holmes on the left wing.
  20. I always shout 'SHOOT!!!!' every time a player gets the ball and is clear just over the halfway line (away Saints fans only will have heard this one). That is all.
  21. Unfounded rumours Mr Roman you cheeky monkey
  22. My team for Wolves ----------Davis------------- Cork--Perry--Pearce--Skacel -------Euell--Morgan-------- -Lallana-----------Surman--- -----Robertson-----DMG---- Subs: Bart, Smith, Olly, BWP, White
  23. I believe you travel to home and away matches so these same players seemed to know how to play the game against Sheff Utd, Derby, Preston & Doncaster? Could it be that we didn't play well tonight and (as this is football) could quite easily rip apart Wolves and Reading? I think this is going to be a hard season for us fans but a real learning curve for the players. We may not rip up this league but i think we'll surprise a few.
  24. Yes I think he'd have Spiderman in his team but as he's injured........ Oh and Gilllett was injured too.... So maybe he makes changes due to injuries? Lloyd James is/was poor too....? On paper we had enough to beat Bristol City but as they say we didn't play them on paper.
  25. Didn't people scream out for a change from 4-4-2 last season? Hey ho Saints change formation and it's back to the old ways. I work with Preston fans and you should have heard them moan about the fact that their 4-4-2 couldn't cope with our 4-3-3 formation last week. Some times it works and sometimes it doesn't.
