  1. Thanks for anwsering my question (and an unasked one as to how good people think Argent is). So, it looks like the only real use we could get out of Pulis is as ballboy/kit washer/tea lady then?
  2. Interesting that Pulis played at RB. Maybe the new coaching staff might have seen some potential for him in that position? For all the stick we (probably rightfully) give him, it would be nice if he didn't turn out to be a total waste of wages (and oygen, some might say ). P.S. Sam Argent must be absolutely gutted, unless he is injured? P.P.S. Well done the reserves on getting a win!
  3. Mills across the face of the goal. Corner Saints. Comes to nothing............. as usual.
  4. 4 mins stoppage time. Hammond scorches one just over the bar.
  5. Lallana has sounded like our best (or at least most creative) player today. We also started getting back on top when Schneiderlin was introduced.
  6. I thought Fish was in then. Lots of negative thoughts/comments on here. If it's the same amongst the supporters at SMS I hope it doesn't effect the team. Have faith guys. One day we will start turning it around.
  7. Lallana starting to sound a bit lively. Thomson heads over when he could have scored. Saints picking the pace up. COYS!!!!!!!
  8. Did you feel especially lucky when you got HIM home?
  9. Perry off, Morgan on. James to RB, Thomas to CB.
  10. Dang, that's 2 sub calls I've made which have been implemented by AP. Is he reading this fred? Should I be a football manager?
  11. Saints coming back into it a bit. Mills is starting to make an impact on the left, if only Paterson would stay on-side. I would be tempted to take him (Pato) off too, but we don't have a fwd on the bench. Maybe bring Thomson on and push Lallana up with Lambert? Or possible Spiderman into CM, James to RM and Lallana up front?
  12. James booked early in the half for a foul made by Hammond. Saints sounding in a bit of confusion at the back. Manage to clear the lines though.
  13. Ditto. I wonder if it is a big crowd today? And where the other ex-pats are??
  14. Colchester hit the bar from a quick break. Now, on any other day that would of gone in. So maybe today is our lucky day? And we go close at the other end. I am really looking forward to the second half!
  15. If I was AP I would be tempted to replace Mellis with Mills at half time.
  16. They've beaten us to it. Izzet off for going the back of Lallana, after Adam had already lost the the ball!!
  17. Paterson just had a shot cleared off the line. So we clearly are making chances.
  18. It's working perfectly fine for me today (so far) almost 15 mins in and not a single 'buffering' problem. Hopefully they've sorted out that particular problem. Now, if only they could sort out Solent's commentary..........

    Question.

I don't know if Souness would have listened, but probably not. Lowe and Co certainly didn't last year when we signed Anthony Pulis! Was anyone excited by his signing?
  20. Good post Wes. In answer to your question at the end: Kit man? Cone puter outer? Ball boy? Tea Lady? Stock the shelves in the club shop? or maybe even use him as a sweeper (to sweep the concourse after the matches that is)?
  21. We can compare signings made during the transfer window immediately after our last relegation if you like? But I don't think we rally need to rake up all of RLs diabolical history again do we? Which is why I will not say that another similarity is administration - RL led us into it; ML took us out of it. Is that similar????? P.S. I actually came onto this thread to see all the apologies to Saga from those who slagged him off so badly yesterday, but no big surprise that there aren't any!

    Its Jaidi

As I have said elsewhere, it is my understanding that the transfer and loan window has closed throughout all of Europe EXCEPT the football leagues (CCC, Leagues 1 and 2). The exception to this rule is for very real emergencies to vital positions (which just about only means GOALKEEPERS). When we loaned in KK it was because all of our goalkeepers were injured, and we had to get special dispensation to do so.
  23. Good point, and yes he is in Poland's squad for their match against N. Ireland this Saturday. As for him leaving on loan........ As far as I am aware the window has closed throughout Europe for any permanent or loan signings. the only exception being the English leagues (except the prem). So if he wants to play in a higher league it has to be a move to a CCC club. There were rumours yesterday that Leicester and Middlesborough were interested, so I guess (if either of these were true) it could be possible for him to go (or to any other CCC team for that matter). However, I really don't think AP will let him go unless we bring another striker in at the same time. Personally, I hope he stays. He and Lambert may not have pace but they certainly have ability and experience, and I think would forge a good partnership. Also, as I have said many times, if he does stay he will have to play damned well to retain his place in the Poland squad.
