I am beginning to get a little concerned at the animated shouting out at St Marys and negative postings about him. It should be remembered that we've only played 3 games! I recall similar negative postings about Adam Lallama not so long ago that were similarly unfair and inaccurate. I would accept that Punch is not playing at his peak yet, but he did miss a lot of pre season and in my view did a lot of good things in both games whilst looking rusty. Confidence is a fragile thing and for so called Saints fans to start the negative stuff so early needs to stop before it causes more damage. However that shot from him that nearly left the ground has to have been the worst one yet at St Marys! Still I really rate him so GET BEHIND HIM!!!

Reading the watch thread has made me realise what a great loss the death of Markus is to Nicola Cortese and his family. I for one want to acknowledge this and send my personal condolences to Nicola and his family.

Strange response, I would have been equally upset if this had happened to Nicola Cortese. Don't believe everything you read on this forum...

Just as a change of subject anyone agree that we need a backup for Rickie?After the first 2 games it seems to me Barnard and Connelly are interchangeable but not good enough to replace Rickie or start together. A Rob Hulse/ Steve Howard type player maybe on loan? Ideas anyone?

Sometimes it is better just to read opinions of others, rather than endlessly pushing your own point of view.

Yes you are right. If Rickie gets injured or loses form, we have no cover for him ie as a centre forward leading the line. Even if he is fit he might need a rest. AP seems to agree so so I expect someone in by the end of the month. Possibly a loan signing. If you add Connelly's injury record to the equation it's obvious really....

Look NC is very well paid to run SFC! However, he is an employee only. Therefore, I expect fans to be treated properly. If this happened to a customer of British Gas, not SFC, there would be uproar. Sadly I think if Rupert had presided over SFC with this type of financial backing, all of his critics would have become his backers - forgetting the way he bahaved.... Look at BP to see how quickly things change at the top......

I do agree. I think this is all very sad - I don't think a community business such as SFC does need this poor publicity....

Frankly, sadly, Mr Cortese seems to have some of the arrogance, lack of insight, massive ego, etc of Mr Lowe his predecessor. Don't forget that one arrogant ***** of a banker got the push. Just a thought.....

Who knows? The way we spend eventually we are going to get burned money wise.......
