  1. I think that the lack of communication or a statement explaining everything clearly is a big mistake. It is evident from this forum and Saints fans I talk to that everyone is either disallusioned or angry, and more and more "stories" are being romoured about every aspect of the club. Come on Mr Cortese clear things up, repeat your vision and plans and lets go forward as one. I will also add that AP is replaceable, NC/Liebherr family is not, so let's get behind Nicola Cortese and the Liebherrs and remember what they have done for our club, or where we were before their arrival.
  2. No to these for me: Phil Brown, Paul Hart, Iain Dowie and Chris Coleman.
  3. Totally agree. However NC needs to be saying this not you or I. Until he does this hysterical reaction will continue. If you recall it happened when AP was rumoured to be about to be sacked, now it's happened and we've lost 3-0 at home........well hardly surprising.
  4. He's hardly going to answer abuse is he!
  5. Frankly this is typical of the hysterical, ridiculous threads being posted. That's Danny Wilson Swindon's manager not Cortese, so I suggest this is locked.
  6. Thanks Alps - was posting at the same time. This could be locked.
  7. Sorry Dune are you ****ed??
  8. Tonight's result was a disaster. Judging from the incredible over reaction on the forum to this, combined with genuine concerns and rumours elsewhere, it would be good to hear from NC. A statement on the official site and a radio interview would be good to calm nerves and keep everybody in the picture. Secrecy divides everybody and achieves nothing. What do others think?
  9. Completely over the top. This performance is down to the players not NC. Maybe it explains why AP has gone - low morale???
  10. Look it's the players who lose games. That's no wins at home in 4 - problem big time. This is not down to NC........
  11. Yawn Yawn! Please post about game...TVM
  12. Anyone playing well? Maybe losing gets replacement in quicker....
  13. What a sad loser you are Ginge. You do owe an apology to FF, so swallow your pride and make it......
  14. I think the decision to remove AP was brave but he was certainly not irreplaceable. I would say we are a combination of both Manchester clubs at div 1 level and as such the expectation and ambition had to be high. I am not sure that AP was living up to that. However, I will only be happy if the replacement fits with the overall strategy, and is a long term appointment. In many ways this could be an exciting time. I guess we have to trust NC to get it right this time. We musn't forget that we are still in an exceptionally strong and healthy position as a club so the future is bright....
  15. Yes I was wondering whether AP's missed out on a couple this week and if he has anything up his sleeve. I also think loan signings are likely....I wonder who?
  16. Slightly premature I think. Defensively we've played 5 league and cup games and conceded 3 goals. Hardly a major concern. Jaidi is just as likely to return for the next 2 games. I suspect his fitness is more of an issue. Don't forget Seaborne - AP also rates him.
  17. Fair enough but I think Alpine has made his point so why keep on repeating it? Perhaps wait until the window ends before giving an opinion? Every team neds to improve it's squad, but we're hardly "weak" are we? I think folks should calm down a bit - we've only played .
  18. Please stop.....
  19. Agreed but I also think AP wants his full backs to go beyond Puncheon and Lallana. On Saturday apart from the first 15 mins both full backs were crossing from way back - nowhere near the byeline....
  20. Agreed but
  21. Frankly that's exactly what happened.
  22. Sorry I totally disagree. His control is very good. He's probably the most gifted alongside MS that we have got. Frankly there was a lack of movement particularly in the 2nd half that often meant he had to keep running with the ball - maybe a lack of fitness? Just stick with the guy. H emade the team of the season and has got the lot in my view....
  23. Fair point but frankly we were very unfortunate not to have won easily. Had we have done so none of this would have happened. I would look at MS and DH first and ask them questions. After their brilliant start they lost control of the midfield and we were never the same. I also thought AL and RL looked rusty. Th exception was LB who was brilliant and very unlucky. I fail to see why the criticism has only been focused at JP....
  24. Sorry unless I've missed it noone know what caused his death do they? Personally from pictures I thought he didn't look well from day one. Maybe we'll find out at some point. Whatever happened he will be remembered as a giant in Saints folklore. RIP.
