I think you'll find the dramatic Sky expression is "before the window slams shut".
-
No transfer window is complete without one of these sh*te threads.

Broke his leg last year and missed most of their relegation season. Was highly rated before that, player of the year a couple of season ago i think. Would say he'd be a definite improvement to the squad than De Ridder.
-
He's found his level finally.
-
Course he would, he's be brilliant down the right side. Pace, skill. Was a class player when he was fully fit.

22nd December Harry Redknapp "There are a lot of players at this club who earn far too much money," he said. "Far too much for their ability and what they give to the club. “I don't really want to see the owners have their pants taken down like they have in the past” 31st January - Harry Redknapp pays Christopher Samba £100k a week.

i for one am looking forward to scenes like this outside St Marys tonight.

The difference being Niges substitutions were often bizarre and rarely did they turn the game in our favour. If he'd taken off Ramirez and Puncheon and we'd lost 5-1 then you might be onto something, few would argue that MP's substitutions improved the performance. Shaw was ill, it was said on here before and then reported in the news afterwards, so nice try at having a pop on that score. As for your last point, it really is a cute, naive world you live in isn't it. Yep, that is all they have to do to counter a high pressing game is to hump it forward for a fast player to run onto It really is that easy so i expect us soon to start getting dicked and torn apart soon when teams realise all they need is a Jonno Quick up front and they are in a business against us. You dont think maybe, just maybe, as an ex international centre half he might know how to combat the genius tactic of a punt forward for the quick man to run onto?
-
As anyone with an ounce of common sense knew it would.

We still lost and i felt we didn't get the ball into the area quick enough at times, always wanting to play it into the box when Lambert caused them chaos when we got it into him. Although that is two games against United we've narrowly lost and we've been the better side in both of them and arguably could and probably should have won them both. We were excellent second half though and United were clinging on a bit.
-
Villas probably dont.
-
They are a smallish midlands club who punched above their weight for a while, that is all. They have no huge catchment area like we do. They dont have a stadium which can be expanded easily by 150%. Villa have peaked, they have no room for expansion, they have achieved all they can and are a team of the past. THey are in decline and in 30 years time people will talk about them like they do Preston and Blackpool, Peter Withe and Paul McGrath will be spoken about by this generation like our granparents spoke about Tom Finney. We however are on the up. We are only just scratching the surface of our potential and there is every reason to think we will overtake them and their pitiful attendances very soon. They might go on about winning a couple of trophies at a time when anyone could win them, even tiny Forest won the European cup and league twice, anyone could do it back then. We however can march into fourth place and sweep all before us. It's ours for the taking and we are on the cusp of glory i can feel it.

People have clearly forgotten where we were three years ago!!!

good job it was spare.

It's almost like you expect mongboards to be a place of reason and sanity Jamie.
-
He does on Football Manager, so he should definitely have started tonight there.
-
Pathetic isn't it. What sort of player do they think is going to be second choice left back at a newly promoted team FFS?

Transfer Deadline Day Who's in Who's out?
Turkish replied to Horton Heath Saint's topic in The Saints
Radabe, a centre back with premier league experince. Just what we need. -
I was being serious. It's a good song, no?

Interesting to see the moving goalposts and lower ambitions Cortese has. WHen we were talking to Buttner it was "challenge Man City" now it's "top 6 place in 3-4 years" aalong with cavets of keeping the team together. At this rate it'll be "stay in the division" and "survival is success" in a couple of year. What happened to reaching for the heavens? What happened to challenging for the title? massive tsk.
-
Lets see what happens with Cortese first away team selection of the MP era. Good luck Nicola.

Can i be the first to say in true mongboard style Adam Lallana will be like having a new signing.
