I find it hilarious. On the one hand we make excuses for our performances because we've got a team of largely league one players yet in the next breadth slag off the player we have on genuine class as not being worth the money.

It's average and we should easily finish midtable with what was before spending £30m, a better side than the one which got to the cup final and finished 8th in 2003.

I am utterly embarrassed that anyone would seriously say Chris Marsden is our best ever signing.

In all seriousness I thought it was utterly cringeworthy. When I was told after the game that one of the two participants worked at McDonald's hedge end I was neither surprised nor embarrassed, I understood then that if you engage in both of those things you have to be a retard. So can all you people stop mocking them.

For £12m, for a club like Saints, he isn't what we needed. The guy is clearly a good player, he clearly has a lot of potential and is a close to a world class player as we've had since MLT. He is also 22 years old, playing in a team which isn't good at the moment and players around him who aren't on the same wave length. He won't be brilliant every week, he won't dominate a game, hes 22 FFS! What he is is a player of supreme class playing in team where most of those around him aren't anywhere near his level. Should he be here and should the £12m have been spent on 3 proven premier league players who have been there, done that and will keep us up? Well I have my own view on that, but if I revealed it in sure is be called a troll and subject to jokes about peodophiles and people ****gging my mum.

So just to summarise we've had everything from might be on the bench today to had an operation and out for 10 weeks. My guess is he won't be on the bench today and won't be out for 10 weeks.

Jimmy Case was a great signing. A real midfield general in the days when clubs had them, a leader on the pitch and a great influence on and off th pitch to all th young players that came through in the time. In may ways exactly what we need now.

Depends of your definition of best ever. It's arguable that Kevin Davies is our best ever signing as we got him for £750k and sold him for 10 times that a year later if profit on outlay is your yardstick.
