  1. Ha! Yet you're the one calling people names and having rants.
  2. In post 252 MLG clearly lays out the factors that need to be taken into account when deciding which club is bigger Historic attendances population league and cup success infrastructure Yet when it comes to deciding which club is bigger out of Saints and Everton or Villa none of these things apply. For example, despite Saints having never had a higher average attendance than Everton and smaller grounds than both of them it doesn't matter because we should speculate of what attendances might have been in the past if Saints had had a 50,000 capacity stadium (despite averaging 4,000 lower than a 24,000 capacity in the early 80s with our best ever team) and what they might be in the future if St Marys is ever expanded. Apparantly in the case of Saints, guess work as to how things might have been and could be in the future is a much better guide to facts.
  3. I didn't find it tiresome Micky. You made some valid points.
  4. have you got any skin left on your finger tips following that bitter rant??
  5. The dungarees put me off her I'm afraid.
  6. We've got three at work. All of them fit, a great laugh and top girls. A bit more down to earth and less precious than a lot of the English ones there. And yes, consider it home and no plans to go back.
  7. That would be quality. One of the best atmospheres at SMS was the MK Dons JPT second leg, the Northam looked and sounded excellent that night. I dont see why it's an issue, they stick the fans in the corner at Leciester which is a virtually identical ground without any problems. Wasn't it the OB that put a stop to it all last time?
  8. I've read that, an excellent book.
  9. FFS Colin, they're call Special Needs Goose these days.
  10. Good idea that!
  11. He really was a bit of a helmet in his time here. I used to see him all the time in the Rhino back in the late 90's and early 00's. He always be in there giving it the large one and dressed is some expensive but horrendous clobber. Although he did buy be a bottle of Scmirnoff Ice once. Quite a few players used to be regulars in there at the time. Mark Draper, Wayne Bridge, Gary Monk used to be in there everytime i was it seemed!!! Centro was another place a lot of players used to go. Remember seeing Hassan Kachoul and Matt Oakley in there a fair bit.
  12. Yep, was replaced at half time by Francis Jeffers!! We lost 3-1.
  13. Or run around a lot, cover for Glen Johnson and stop and pass the ball backwards everytime he gets it and he'd be nailed on for the right midfield spot.
  14. Litchenstein i think and he was terrible.

Cheers all, sounds great. I think that's me sold!! Any suggestions which time of year is best?
  16. How i wish i could be a great guy like yourself and be able to resort to calling people *****s on internet mong boards because i dont agree with their opinion on something. As i said there was a lot of good stuff in it, but I felt there was an underlying theme of self congraulation from Cortese, plenty of "what a great guy the chairman is" type quotes. Which IMO is a bit unessasary, he is doing a great job, we dont need it rammed down our throats everytime anyone from the club speaks.
  17. Yes i agree. Some good bits in it but a lot of talking up the chairman and what a great job he is doing. That was all a bit unnessasary to be honest.
  18. So are these factors, the factors you used, valid when deciding which club is bigger or not? League and Cup performance Historical attendances Population Infratructure Also I dont disagree that some factors that your used are more important than other and dont assume they do at all, so why dont you number them for us, 1-4. Obviously population will be number 4. Maybe you could even give them a % and put them into a little pie chart for us all.
  19. Because your replies are nonsense, You use these factors then when they disprove your claims you say they aren't valid and we should speculate on what might have happend in the past and what might happen in the future. It really isn't hard. Just apply your factors to Saints and Everton, using FACTS and evidence not speculation, although it seems you find this impossible to do.
  20. Same as you used for Man United and Darlington League and Cup performance Historical attendances Population Infratructure You where the one who used these factors. So use them now with Saints against Everton and Villa. Why are these things valid factors when comparing one set of clubs but not when it comes to another?
  21. Oh dear. Didnt you say "attendances for generations" not Saints in 2005 and Evertons in 2012. Have Saints ever had a higher average crowd than Everton? Can you honestly not see how his can be telling of the fan bases? Of course you can't, hence why we keep having these circular arguments even I am starting to get bored with!
  22. I make that Villa 4 Saints 0 So using MLGs own factors as to what makes a club bigger, despite his claims both Everton and villa and are bigger than Saints.
  23. So to counter your own argument that historical attendances are one of the 4 yardsticks when measuring club size what you acutally meant was ignore historical attendances and speculate on what atteendancesight have been or be if saints had or will have in the future a stadium of equal size? This is a better yardstick, yes?
  24. Lets use the criteria he has used in the past but is now back tracking on. Population League and cup success Infrastructure historical attendances
  25. What counter arguements are there? You set the criteria above. Population League and cup success Infrastructure historical attendances There was no mention of specuatlion what attendances might be in 2023 or what trophies Saints might have won by 2078.
