You have to remember to a lot of people the Internet is serious business. Only the other day I was told by a mod via PM that because I didn't think we were on an unstoppable march to the champions league like some posters I was stamping on people's dreams.

Another pointless post. mods, take note and issue infraction. I think this is abuse of another member so 3-6 points as well.

I've had two infration points today both for this. One was for giving an opinion which was different to Jimmy D's on the memorial trophy. 2 minutes later got an infraction. The other one was for a "joke" Where after Chalet slapped people's wrists for posting pointless comments I put a disclaimer on so people knew it was a serious post. That was also infractionable. It seems being a mod on here is a full time job the amount of Infractions they must be dishing out today for similar heinous crimes. There must have been hundreds of them given out today if my example is anything to go by.

Yep and you still haven't explained what was pointless or sarcastic about it. Just like Jimmy D hasn't explained how giving my opinion on why the Libeherr trophy is worth the £25 entrance fee.

He seems like a decent signing as he's on a free although the fact that Thomas Pekhart is a Czech international doesn't say much about their national team* * this post is entirely serious and not meant to be taken as sarcastic or pointless. These views are just my opinion and in no way a deliberate attempt at upsetting The delicate little flowers who post or moderate on this forum.

There seems to be a lot of pointless and sarcastic comments on this thread. I expect action from the mods with suitable infraction points distributed as soon as possible. We wouldn't want there to be double standards on here would we.

Can I just warn everyone that certain mods are dishing out infractions for pointless or sarcastic comments. As 90% of this forum is made up of these I expect plenty to be dished out today. You have been warned. Apparently pointing out that the Markus Liebherr trophy is there to remember and celebrate him and IMO worth £25 is worthy of an infraction these days.

I don't want to stamp on your dreams jimmy_d but isn't the entire tournament supposed to be to honour the man who along with Cortese saved us? That's worth £25 a year in my view. The torch is just a sideshow.

Why is it a rip off? It's cheaper than a normal game. It's going to cost money to bring such attractive opposition to our stadium. Its going to cost money to open the stadium for the day, pay the staff, stewards etc. All true fans will be there to pay their respects and enjoy a wonderful day put on by Nicola Cortese. Some of our fans are so ungrateful.

You are forgetting that you are also paying your respects to the man who along with Nicola Cortese saved the club. If it wasn't for these two we'd be lucky to be in the conference right now, not playing premier league football, smashing our transfer record and attracting such glamourous opposition for preseason tournements. True Saints fans will be there to enjoy the day and thank the men who turned this club into what it is now. They certainly wont be whinging about the discounted ticket prices.

It's great value. The opportunity to see our new signings. The chance to see the new kit. The chance to be back at St Marys a premier league ground and just to feel part of the momentum and part of the Southampton way. We'll play against two clubs like Arsenal and Rangers, steeped in history and tradition and we are playing them as their equal. Also the opportunity to give honour to the man who,along with Nicola Cortese, saved us. £25 is a bargain for a day like that IMO and i for one wont be missing it for the world, all true Saints fans will be there and feel the same and would be happy our chairman has given such a flexible pricing model on this to makesure the tournement is accessable to everyone.

So if the rivalry isn't as fierce in Derby/Nottingham compared to here how can it be the case that we would be more likely to pick up these fans that live in the PO area? How can they be in our catchment area given how fierce the rivalry iscompared to other areas, like at Derby and Notttingham, as you freely admit yourself.
