Why would that p*** you off? Do you honestly give a f*ck what some washed up, has been, sh*t pundit stuck in the 80s thinks about who we might and might. Ot sign?
-
It should sell out shouldn't it? We are premier league, Cortese is investing etc etc. that is the question, why hasn't it already given what we've been told all summer? It's our triumphant return to the premier league. I expect this one to have sold out weeks ago given what people have been saying all summer about our fan base and catchment area.
-
The price of the Coventry game wasnt that dissimilar and that one was on telly, so it can't be the price and Man U is close to a sell out just a week later, so people aren't all on holidays with their kids.

I think you need to read the thread pal. I'm asking those that claimed this why this isnt the case.
-
Doesn't he just. I'll beleive it when it happens, he sounds quality.
-
Corrected. You're wrong.
-
Plenty of personal insults and name calling yet still no one can explain why it hasn't sold out.
-
This is one of my concerns. I'm also worried about my Saints/Wigan halved "premier league, we're avin a laff" scarves might not be the money spinner I expected.
-
Why can't you answer where all these fans are? It's our return to the premier league on Saturday, surely there'd be a clamour for this one.
-
Look sunshine, we were told all summer how huge our catchment area is and how many thousands of people will want to come to Southampton to see premier league football. I'm just asking for those that made these claims view on why the very first game of the season is a few days away and we have over 10% of available tickets still unsold. I mean it was only 4 months agomfans were on the Pitch singing "we are premier league" are we only premier league once The Early games are out of the way, not on bank holiday weekends, When games aren't on telly and so on? It's a very simple and perfectly valid question, sadly clowns like you resort to name calling rather than offering anything constructive.
-
So what? We werent in the Premier league then.
-
It is true. Which means that if we have a rough guess at 1,000 Wigan fans coming, Saints have only sold around 6,000 tickets to non season ticket holders, which can't be true, given our catchment area, fan base, ambition of our chairman, Chelseas crowds in 1984 and all that.
-
Coventry only brought a small away following, It didn't stop us selling out that day. considering we can add the 10,000s of thousands of fans we've been told were waiting for us to be promoted so they could come along to St Mary's to see Premier lewgue football this game should have long since sold out, should it not? It's a good price, it's Premier league football, we are showing ambition in the transfer market like never before, Jesus it even guarantees you a Man U ticket. What can th problem be?
-
There is the answer to your question. Over 10% remain unsold and only half of these in the two blocks unused by Wigan. I'd have thought given what we've been told all summer this game would have sold out weeks ago, wouldn't you?
-
On Friday there were still "a few thousand" left. I find this odd considering what we've been told all summer.
-
It seems we are someway short of a sellout for this one which I find incredibly surprising. The price is relatively low for premier league football and what with 22,500 season ticket holders I'd have thought the remaining tickets would have sold out very quickly given weve been told all summer there are tens of thousands of floating fans from all over the south of England just waiting for saints to return to the premier league so they can watch top flight football. Given we sold out the last few games of last season id have thought our return to the premier league would have seen this game sell out quickly and easily. Particularly with a club of our Size with this huge catchment area we keep being told about. I have to say I'm somewhat surprised.

City v Saints: sportsmans bet? SWF decision, please.

I agree, it's definitely only one pint mate. -
If this is true now we'll really see of Cortese will walk the walk as well as talk te talk

Anyone with any ounce of common sense knows Liverpool need to stabilise and rebuild. Even so, top 6 finishes, europe and good cup runs are standard for them, yet would represent an unbelievable achievement for us. Yet people claim we are a better option than them. LOL,PMSL, FAF etc

What are you a professor of? It certainly isn't realism.
