How Good Can Schneiderlin Get? And Who's Better: Schneiderlin or Cork?
Turkish replied to @BHiglett's topic in The Saints
In the 2010 version he is class and if you dont sell him when Arsenal come in with a £5m bid he puts in a transfer request to move to a bigger club. I didn't sell him though as it was impossible to say which was a bigger club on FM10 as he didn't clearly define it and even if he had neither of us was aware of some important information about what makes a club bigger on that years edition and what doesn't. -
SO which club would you say was "bigger" Manchester United or Darlington? And lets makes it easy for you an make the answers multiple choice a/ Manchester United b/ Darlington C/ Impossible to tell unless people define what contitutes "bigger" and even if they do you might not be aware of some significant information.
-
How about you define it.
-
You've taken what I said out of context.
-
No they weren't. They sold 37,000 tickets for a game against Tottenham. We sold 28,000 for a game against Man U in the same season in the same competiton. He was trying to justify why we didn't sell out against Man U last time we played them when it wasnt a problem for Leeds when they were playing premier league opposition in the same competition, in the same season with Ith games live on telly.

The standard MLG get out phrase.
-
I particularly enjoyed MLGs logic that we can speculate on what Saints attendances in 2016 might be based on What Chelsea's were in 1984, Sunderlands in 1997, Readings in 1976. Yet when in came to comparing League one Leeds attendance at a home FA cup tie against premier league oposition live on terrestrial TV with league one saints playing premier league opposition in the FA cup live on terrestrial television that wasn't a reasonable comparison.

Woodhouse sale started today. Picked up a jacket I'd tried on last weekend for 150 sheets less. Sweet.

You see, the problem with this site is clearly a lot of people on here have persecution or inferiority complexes. It was a very simple point. You were going on about how Butland is a future star because people have said his performances in training have been exceptional. So i quoted you an example of a player who plays the club you support where, despite his similarly excellent training reports, he's failed to reproduce it on the pitch. Rather than getting upset about it, you could have come back with either admitting that actually, i was right and it is one thing to do it in training, quite another to do it in a match. Or you could have defended your views. Instead you've chosen the usual path of many on here to get upset and resort to acusations and name calling. You maybe think you are speaking for others, i dont care, so why would i put you on ignore? It's not me moaning and getting my knickers in a twist about people challenging my opinions is it.

Not really a "a smart alec" post Jamie. JEFC said a quote which i took directly from Nige was evidence of me being stupid and controversial. So either he has been proven wrong or that is what Nige is. I await his apology or comments on Niges stupidity.
-
Oh dear JEFC, youre looking stupid now. He did describe Jonno Quick as "Unplayable" in training. I was stating a fact as evidence that it's one thing to be brilliant in training, quite another to do it on the pitch. Just because you dont like it doesn't mean it's not true or that it's controversial or stupid, unless that is what you are calling Nige? Here it is if you dont believe me. "in training at times, some of the stuff he does- he unplayable" http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2281315,00.html FACT

Dont be vulgar Colin, this is s family forum.

That's more like it Timothy. Well done you.

Please provide examples of things i have said this week that are controversial or stupid.

They come from thick people who have no concept of contracts, wages, competition from other clubs, relsale value etc.
-
and all our star players will ignore Man United, City and Chelsea to stay with Saints on far less money because Southampton in near the sea and the new forest and they can play with their mates. BTW, does anyone know when Modric is joining Man United?
-
When he first came one i was really surprised and switched off a bit when he spoke but after a few weeks i actualy realised he was talking a lot of sense and spot on with what he was saying. No cliches, really well rounded views and as has been mentioned his breakdown and analysis of moves and tactics is spot on. Gives a much more insghtful view of the game and teams that Andy Towsends, "that Rooney, i think hes class" type stuff.
-
It would make perfect sense. If we are going to make the champions league we need to show some ambition in the transfer market FFS. Get the cheque book our Nicola you tight c*nt.
-
Rubbish. He talks a lot of sense and is a really decent and knowledgable pundit. How you can say he's biased and that you like all the MOTD pundits when Alan Hansen was shamelessly arse kissing "King Kenny" all last season despite Liverpools awful showing is beyond me.
-
It was only a few weeks ago people were saying Davis, lambert and Lallana should all be in the England squad and were going on about us being in the champions league. People were saying we needed a 45k stadium and were the most attractive team in the country outside of the top 4 clubs to a player when we were in LEAGUE ONE!!! and anyone who disagreed had no ambition and were stuck in Dell sized mentalities. If a fan of another club looked at some of the stuff on here they'd think we were massively arrogant and deluded as well.
-
Does this mean we've now got £104m to spend? Less the £7m for Jay Rod obviously.

and a cardigan.

They look better with white socks.

I also love plimsolls and espadrilles. People look so cool in them when worn with jeans with elastic round the ankles.

Horrific.
