What are you on about? Read this forum and think again. The Champions League is a given, it's inevitable, no one can stop us. it's only a matter of time.

Agree with this. Whatever people say about Allardyce he makes teams hard to beat. Look at Blackburn when he was there, midtable. He goes and virtually the same players get relegated. Tactically he's good as getting teams not to lose rather than having to win. See their 6 home draws in a row this season as evidence of this. I think we'll be fine if we add a bit of steel and leadership to the side and we need to improve defensively. We are great defensively when we are dominating possession and steamroller sides, its easy to be a good defender when you're dominating matches but that won't happen as much next season. We gave away a lot of sloppy goals and many times when put under pressure last season we conceded. We didn't get many points last season with great, backs to the wall, gritty defensive displays. That is going to have to change this season, especially away from home.

bitterness will get you nowhere Timothy. Got the kids today then?

What's for tea tonight Timothy, Tofu?

I expect a lot of you are soap and water merchants but for those of you that have a bit of pride of your appearance what do you go with? I've recently switched to the clinique range after years of being l'orell. Got a couple of testers a while back a although you pay a bit more for it my skin feels much better for using their scrub and facial wash. Their moisturiser and eye cream are much better too and definitely noticeable the reduction in dark circles under my eyes since I've switched to them. Come on saintsweb, don't be shy. Share your grooming secrets.

Agreed. £6m is a ridiculous fee considering we've been linked with Curtis Davies for half that price. -
By saying he "no disrespect" he was being disrespectful. He knew he would offend so wanted to make out he was tying not to. It's like people who start a sentance with "I'm not racist but....." I'm appalled at these so called proffesionals and their lack of knowledge and respect for one of English footballs biggest clubs.

All I can think of is that he is jealous and bitter he has never had the chance to be our manager as we've continually over looked him for the job. He clearly has an anti Saints agenda and these disgraceful comments prove it.
-
No. We have champions league ambitions and if we talk about them enough maybe people like Steve Bruce will start believing them.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4362214/Steve-Bruce-wants-Hull-City-promotion-to-Premier-League.html Disgusting comments on his appointment at Hull. "if clubs like Wigan, Swansea, Southampton and Norwich can make the premier league, why it Hull?" Never liked the bloke and hate him even more now after this. Clearly an out of touch failing manager with a huge ego and still thinks we play at the Dell and don't have two pennies to rub together. Does he have no idea of our champions league ambitions and catchment area?

Linked with Scott Dann again today. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/327147/Southampton-renew-interest-in-Blackburn-defender-Scott-Dann -
Did anyone listen to the Chris Moyles commentary on the England game Friday night?

Pardew made Hammond captain for that reason. I think Lambert should get it. He seems to be a big influence on and off the pitch, has been here a while and if he doesn't play well we usually don't.
-
I still think ITV are worse. Andy "Rooney, i think he's class" Townsend is embarassingly bad and don't even get me started on Adrian Chiles. He sole qualification for that job seems to be he claims he is a fan of West Brom. He tries to be funny and he really isn't. He reminds me of one of those fat, middle aged pub fans that talk absolutle bollo*ks. "So Spain. Is it fair to say they are contenders?" the most pointless question of Euro 2012 so far.
-
Yep, I agree. Until his injury in our L1 promotion season he was arguably our best forward at the time. Good finisher and a good attitude. He'll make a decent Championship striker.
-
Griffo is a well dressed young un who talks sense. I would happily be seen speaking to him. With the added bonus for him that He can learn more from me.

yeah i still wear an L&S Harrington and some of the knits are okay, would just avoid the rest of it now as see too many people in it.

I dont disagree with that Adrian. Bale tore Maicon a new one last season, one of the worlds bet right backs. If the top players turn up then few can live with them. Are Richardson and Fox good enough to stop the likes of Surman, Etherington, Pilkington, Sinclair and Dyer? Probably and that is going to be more important. -
That simply isnt true is it. If it was the case why didnt Avram Grant drop him and replace him? Why was he still making the England squad? Why was he still deemed good enough for Stoke, a midtable side to sign him?
