People on here do however much they claim they dont. We've all seen the boners everytime there is a postive article in the papers and the allegations of anti Saints agendas when they says anyone connected with SFC is anything but the greatest person alive. Like it or not the media have an influence, it's stupid and naive to say otherwise.

Dont be jealous because you arent part of the forum cool gang. It's been great and long may it continue. But it won't if Cortese throws another echo style strop at a national. Let's also not forget it wasnt that long ago we were s national joke and refered to as "South Coast Club" by one national and NC had to go back to them with his tail between his legs.

The echo need us and also have a duty to report local news, but the nationals don't. If we start treating them like we treat the echo it'll be damaging.

People were saying they need to keep us sweet, when in fact it's the other way round. I not suggesting we need to court them but that we have a more to lose by not leeping them onside. We aren't media friendly at the moment, just ask the echo.

Well I thought it would be obvious that there will be far more media attention on us now so we need to be more media friendly. I thought it would be blindingly obvious that negative press isn't a good thing, particularly if you want to attract decent sponsors and players. I assumed anyone with half a brain would have been able to understand that the some players amd agents are masters at engineering moves and contracts via the media, so it would be more than a little helpful if said media are on your side. Still they need us more than we need them, it's a wonder they survived when we weren't in the premier league.

There will be far more media interest in us now we are back in top flight.

Probably more worthwhile than your one. I guess you're another one that thinks it'll be fantastic for the club if the media hate us and churn out story after story of negative press.

Think about it. Do you really need it explaining why negative, bad or even no press is detrimental to a business?
