I disagree with your comments and dont really see what is wrong with what Dune has said, he is simply stating a fact. 5 years ago when i was out of work for a while i worked on a building site doing hod carrrying and it was a well known fact that the eastern european labourers would work for around £30-£40 an hour a day less than English labourers. Firstly because a lot of it was cash in hand and secondly because they were single blokes living with their mates in a shared house. Now compare that to the English hod carrier supporting a wife and 2 kids on £12 an hour and the Polish lads had a lot more disposable income than him even though they earnt less doing the same job. The polish lads were quite happy working cash in hand for less. I know you liberal elitiest wont like it and will be offended for the Poles, but they didn't mind one bit.

Your all-time favourite starting XI and Manager.
Turkish replied to Son of Bob's topic in The Saints
If it's a team of favourite players in my saints history and not the best players than as follows GK Shilton RB Dodd CB Svenson CB Ruddock LB Dennis MF Case MF MLT MF Anders Svenson ST Pahars ST Colin Clarke ST Moran Manager Strachan -
Please explain.

Baggio i agree with, not Del Piero though, always thought he was over rated. Cafu, you dont get 142 caps for Brazil and play in 3 world cup finals without being a great player.
-
So you are using his record at international level to how well he will do at Championship level? Lets not forget, the England job has made clowns of better managers (on paper) than Steve McClaren, the incumbent for one who was viewed as some sort of managerial god before he took over the England role. As a bloke he does come across as a bit of a plank but he is a decent manager, certainly as good a club like Forest could hope for. With regard to his "ok" record at Middlesborough, what would Saints fans think of a manager who had given us regular midtable premier league finishes, won the Carling cup and got to a UEFA Cup final? I say he'd be thought of as some sort of hero.

Now Nicky has set the bench mark for what makes a great chairman i feel others need to start raising their game. The days of Ted Bates and Simon Jordan are over, they are the remenants of a bygone era where the distain for the fans and the 4-4-2 formation also belong. Nicky is the future for all chairman and the model for which others should aspire. The way he is rebuilding this club is incredible.

Exclusive! New signing from St. James Park to St Mary's....
Turkish replied to sambosa75's topic in The Saints
I hope this means we can also attract some of Exeters most promising programme sellers as well. I understand they have a reputation for producing the finest ones in league one. -
add to that list Di Stefano Paulo Maldini Ronaldo (the goofy one, not cristiano) Beckenbaur

Ha ha!!! Now it all makes sense!!! Stuey is COYR on the UI, he announced he was retiring then 3 days later came back with a different user name, still posting his usual sh*te.

Or Johnno Quick. Any player who averages a goal per start, has lightening pace and incredible strength deserves a mention in a a top 10 list.
-
You were on about defending from the front, chasing defenders down etc and conceding less goals because of it. I dont remember our greatest ever player chasing too many defenders down, presumably he wouldn't get into your Saints side? Every player is different and if we have a striker who "stands around waiting for chances to fall into his lap" all season but scores 20+ goals then i for one wont be criticising him.

If we want a successful club we have to pay our way. I applaud Cortese for this pricing structure. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and think It's a fantastic piece of visionary ticket pricing which enables us to pay a decent price for a quality product. On another note, has anyone noticed the personal message from Cortese on the car park barriers? As you leave after putting your ticket into the machine it wishes you to "have a nice day" What a lovely gesture from Nicky. This proves that not only is he a superb businessman he also cares about each and every one of us.

Couldn't help but notice his picture was taken at SMS. Does this mean he is signing?
-
Did you actually read the comments?
-
Yes, i believe he has. He is not my mate btw, i've only ever met him twice. Once after the Pompey home game when i bumped into him in town and also had the misfortune of being in the same pub as him before the Bournemouth away game.

has anyone been to Sharm El Sheikh?

Banning people for life from an internet forum is idiotic. I found him annoying at times, funny at times but it's an internet forum, it's serious business FFS.
-
Ahh arse, schoolboy error FFS, Tony Motana was Cuban i meant, anyway, it's does't matter what the film was, likening Cortese to a Cuban immigrant is shameful. Hey say what you like, i am just getting everyone to honour our chairman and saviour in a befitting way, not with some crap song which is embarassing. We are one lucky club.
-
It was your "standing around waiting for chances to fall into his lap" which had me in stitches, it really is that easy isn't it. Rasiak was another one that got slated on here for not being a headless chicken and was apparantly lazy, couldn't be arsed and like John, just stood around waiting for chances to fall into his lap. It's amazing that championship centre halves didn't work this tactic out quickly and just stand next to them so this didn't happen. What we need are strikers that are headless chickens, charge around all over the place closing defenders down but when the ball goes into the box haven't got the standing around ability of John or Rasiak, as that is just pure laziness.

I'm curious to know which instrument you are going to play noisely Sue, it sounds naughty
-
We are going to do a Norwich, we are bigger than them and they wont have Scott Parker and Shay Given.
-
they are in debt but from what i understand the owners are loaning them money or some nonsense. I think it's so much debt that a £5-£6m gamble on going straight back up is probably not going to make too much difference when the parachute payments are taken into account and especially when Scott Parker joins us for £8m, they'll actually make money from player trading.

Dont be a din, Carlito was Cuban and on the run from Castro, Cortese would find being likened to a refugee an insult you div.
