  1. Villa and Liverpools average was 10% and 5% below their biggest crowds. I appreciate Chelsea and Spurs are restricted by capacity. it's not about them though it's about us. What makes people think we would get bigger crowds than Liverpool? Please can someone explain to me what basis there is for assuming we would get crowds of 45k every week and 50k for "big" games. I cannot think of a single piece of logic that would say that we would average crowds of 13k more than when we had our best season since 1990.
  2. Yes we COULD get 50k, we could get 1/2 a million evey week if everybody in Southampton and the surrounding areas became season ticket holders and went every week. It could happen, but realism and not be a deluded **** says it wont.
  3. Of course your logic is perfectly reasonable though that we sold out a 32k 6 years ago, then obviously we would average 13k more now and be the 4th best supported club in the country. As for Chelsea dont make me laugh, they are traditionally one of the biggest and most fashionable clubs in England. Chelseas record attendance ever is 82k, the support has always been there, i'd imagine in the 80's and 90s a combination of their reputation as one of the worst clubs for hooliganism, electric fences, crap football and Ken Bates kept them away.
  4. Regardless of the reasons why it was still our most successful season in a lot of our fans lives. I dont doubt that on occasions we might have got more than 32k, maybe even edged high 30's for biggest games as a one off but anyone that thnks we are going to get bigger crowds than 18 times league champions and one of the worlds biggeest clubs in Liverpool is mental.
  5. Here we go people, last seasons attendances in the PL. For those of you that think we are going to get 45k average crowd and 50k in some cases one look at this should give you deluded clowns a dose of reality. 50k would ive us the 4th highest crowd in England and a 45k average would make us have bigger crowds than Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Tottenham, all far bigger clubs than we are. Now please can you all shut the f*ck up about us getting crowds of 50k, anyone that thinks we are the 4th best supported club in England is f*cking mental. http://www.emfootball.co.uk/attend.html
  6. Apart from reach our first FA Cup final in 27 years and have our highest finish in top flight football since 1990.
  7. Why so small? Barcelona have been known get 50k watch training.
  8. Or at home. Dale Jennings would be a prime candidate.
  9. Except that we wont average 45k or get 50k for Man United and Chelsea etc, unless we give them 15k tickets.
  10. We will need around 80,000 when we get back to the PL so i think we'll probably need about 45-50k now, i think work will start next summer once we sell out every game this season had have a 10 year waiting list for sesaon tickets.
  11. i can only recall us losing once on sky in the last 2 seasons FFS.
  12. How often so you do Karate Boj? How many times a week do you recomend you do it?
  13. obviously Sky know something, maybe they want to be there for Shay Given, Matthew Upson and Scott Parkers Southampton debuts and see the most expensively assembled championship side in history?
  14. That's because they dont want any thugs travelling to Switzerland and embarassing the name of the club with their drunken loutishness.
  15. Sounds like you are one of the unlucky ones that has his bird tagging along to every game with him, the ones that sit in the pub before & after matches trying to enjoy themselves and sometimes even convincing themselves that they are but spends the whole time casting envious glances across to the groups of lads having funwithout birds in tow. I feel your pain, i've hated it the couple of times mine has come to games with me, cant imagine what it must be like to have to put up with it every game.
  16. considering the best you managed at football was our friendly buddah Stuey then it's probably best you gave up that means of pulling anyway.
  17. Possibly, what we really need is to sign a few good men, then promtion wont appear to be mission impossible.
  18. For Matt Mills see also Martin Cranie. Hardly played yet when he did was a good centre half as proven in the second leg of the Play offs against Derby.
  19. Tom Cruise has been released by Arsenal as well. Surely he'd be a Top Gun at championship level? He'd certainly be able to give some sound advice to The Firm with big clashes against Pompey, Millwall and Cardiff ahead. Although scouts at Arsenal often reported that he appeared to play matches with his Eyes Wide Shut, judging by his heading and tackling ability.
  20. Sounds like it, considering they are £80m in debt or something silly then an extra £7-8m gambling on going striaght back up wont make that much difference, especially when they'll get that back from us when we sign Scott Parker and Matthew Upson.
  21. There is also the chance of a cameo role on the Only Way is Essex, which would most definitely steer me the way of the 'ammers if i was him.
  22. I did it for about 4 years and absolutely loved it, used to go 2-3 times a week. This was 10 years ago though and a bit to old and out of shape now to get back up the old gym. Fantastic sport though, so much more skillful and technical than it appears just watching a fight on the telly.
  23. Are you mental? You do realise that to get into the Chelsea first team he'd have to be one of the best players in Europe. He is a current England U21 international yet lets use the fact he isn't a Chelsea first team regular as reason not to be interested FFS.
  24. What no Scott Parker, Shay Given and Matthew Upson? According to the mighty Wiki Ledesma is in talks with us at the moment, i dont know much about him but looking at his career history seems to have problems settling anywhere and has been loaned out a fair bit. However he's young, on a free and QPR fans seemed to like him when he was there so clearly has something about him. I like the look of your list though, with the exception of Danns all good young players who will be hungry so would fit the bill of building a good young team. I'm a big fan of Pearce & Baldock, Peterborough are in for them both i believe. Jennings is a cracking young player who would be a great signing.
  25. Nile Ranger.
